McDo Nugget BBQ sauce.

Postby Coligny » Tue May 22, 2012 1:54 pm

Have some of youze tried it recently ?

For the last week all samples while having a normal taste. Have a smell really close to acetone. Muminlaw describe the smell as 'acidic', since I'm allergic to acetone I might have a worse reaction/sensibility...
And as of now, the double sledgehammer blow (behind the eyes / back of the head) at every whiff as always been for me the tell tale of acetone somewhere in the room...
Still alive/not dead yet... but you might want to check a bit before eating this...

The yoshida one that some of youze recomended me is not bad at all... Unfortunately more difficult to find than Nutella... but bazilliun times easier than proper mayonnaise or mirabelle marmalade...

Plenty of imported one everywhere for them cheeze...

the problem for mayonnaise is that they don't seem to know what it's supposed to taste like. The homemade recipe is simple but boring to do every day. And that kewpie bottled liquid shit is NOT mayonnaise... it's just... unnamable...

Costco had Best Foods mayo (also sold as Hellmann's in some parts of the US) a while back but were out of it the last time I was there. It can also be bought from The Flying Pig or the FBC Deli.

quit being so french... next you are going to say that soy sauce on rice is a no-no too?

I was feeding my kids breakfast one day... just some plain yogurt, toast, fruit, and milk. So I told my boys to put their fruit in the yogurt and enjoy... Wife says that is wierd cause it was "packaged" yogurt and there is other yogurt to mix with... i came back with, "it is the same thing? what is the difference?"

apparently, there is a little rule book you have to follow for food.

fuck it, if you want to mix something up and you like it... eat it. it tastes good, so anyone else can STFU.

but KFC is OK for x-mas dinner...

Aww dear... how many time I have to deal with these shit from me bitch... My come back is always "apparently there is no rule forbidding you to be a stupid fucking tool"... And it's all from her grandmother... because mom and dad are totally different... with dad the rule is simple... anything foreign that a toddler would love/hate he would also love/hate. For mum... since she discovered google and food blogs... the word "experimental" comes up quite often at diner time... often followed by "if you don't like the combini sells bentos"... also... never let her alone in the same room as a box of white chocolate... one of them will disappear forever... and the other will try his best to look as innocent as a newborn kitten...

My wife has been fine with mixing up fruit and yogurt, but she and her mom shake their heads at my tendency to make everything a donburi when I cook by myself.

Rice is boring! Why do you eat that shit from a bowl if you're not going to put anything on it?

Sooo that's what it is called...

I just assumed that the nickname "punk rice" was enough to describe my art of cooking old rice with old... anything from the fridge... usually stirr fried too...

Philistine! Japanese rice is a symbol of the Yamato spirit, cultivated over the cuntry's unique four seasons collectively in a manner that allows society to work as one unlike we meat-eating barbarians whose sustinence depends on individually hunting and slaughtering harmless beasts. Moreover, only the elongated bowel of the Japanese can truly appreciate the wonders of the japonica strain. Rice is indeed the symbol of Japan and its finest, subtlest qualities can only truly be experienced by those imbued with the ancient blood and spirit of Yamato.

In normal countries those things a not used to make wallpaper paste barely edible but to add twists to already interesting meals...

And funny baby videos too... their face when they innocently munch on a pickle for the first time is usually lolcats material... even better when despite the initial surprise they go back at it... grinning a little more with every bites...

right there with you bro... I hate it when my wife splits the plate in two... one side rice and one side of the main dish.... put the rice in the middle and the other shit on top of it.

I hate fancy looking food, put the shit together so it is easy to eat. no need to get fancy, make it convenient and delicious dammit.
