Remembering that the yen is at super high exchange rates against the dollar.

But the reason that the cost is high is cos they haven't changed in years and the rest of the world is now paying less due to competition and non-price fixing policies... ooops did I say that? :twisted:

Like Korea's advanced and cheap fiber broadband (which thankfully dragged Japan into the Internet age kicking and screaming), it has been a governmental policy to keep communications costs down in Korea to spur growth in that key sector. {Citation needed.}

There's also free wi-fi all over the place so people don't have to use 3G as much.

Nope... the littur is cleaned everyday... The kitchen floor plastic tiles have 30 years of dust mixed in floorwax and are nao also cracking with pieces falling to dust. There is no observable or possible "clean" state for this shitfest.

I have categorized the kitchen/former nurse station as lost beyond all hopes... I've done my best to convert the combo nurse-office-station/newborn-nursery into a kitchen-dining room when we arrived in 2006. But since then all my request to have professionnals called to do what I can't do (remove old broken aircon, redo the floor plastic tilling falling appart put a proper sink and cooking table) have been met with a global "fuck you". I just nao give up and wait for revenge... (and turned back the all glass walled former newborn nursery into a junkyard/storage space).

And dream looking at http://www.houzz.com/ (and the tiny house blog)...
