Cultural asset discovered in Kanda used bookstore(Kyodo / Oct 2, 2003 12:03)
TOKYO, Japan -Cultural Affairs Agency studies have shown that a used bookstore in Tokyo's Kanda district obtained a book on Christianity ...printed in 1607 on a metal press brought by the Jesuits, and was phonetically written in Japanese using Roman characters. It was used by foreign missionaries to preach to the Japanese.
