Enka "queen" dumped from NHK's Kohaku Utagassen

According to Nikkai Sports, enka "queen" Sachiko Kobayashi has been dropped from NHK's all-important Kohaku Utagassen program for this coming New Years Eve. Sachiko's (age 58) disappearance of the "Red and White" program is evidence of the further decline of enka in Japan.

I thought that this had to do more with the scandal going on in her company, and that she is being blackballed by the music industry for firing her manager and producer, even though her husband found out they were robbing her blind. Oh well, will be out of the country for New years this time, so I don't have to worry who is in or out!
