Looking for live earthquake data feeds

Postby yanpa » Mon Nov 19, 2012 5:39 pm

I'm playing around with an earthquake-related app and need a source of live(-ish) data. So far I've found these two publicly available feeds:

* http://weather.livedoor.com/forecast/rss/earthquake.xml
* http://feed.tenki.jp/component/static_a ... ntries.xml

but they don't provide the magnitude or longitude/latitude information.

This looks like the official government source: http://xml.kishou.go.jp/ but requires registration, which I'll have a crack at in due course.

Does anyone know of anything else, or have any experience with the kishou.go.jp data?

Wow, you're sharp.
I thought it was the Land of Cat's Arse, but I wasn't quite sure which symbol was the most accurate rendition of a feline rectum...
