I like that there is no green grass requirement in front of residential homes (fucking retarded) but never understood how they don't have decent grass at schools. Even Shinjukugyoen has really shitty grass. They basically laid down sod in squares around that newer area it looks like a fucking checkerboard now. No sprinklers in sight...

They are the same thoughts I had. Cos this seemed like something that *should* be taking the world by storm if it was as beneficial as he claims. Reducing plastic based garbage AND producing oil.. come on, that is just the holy grail for developing countries. If it could make a decent cup of tea as well, I mean, game over.

But I also thought how much the machine looked like the "Mr Fusion" dohicky that powered up the Flux Capacitor on the DeLorean.

Need heating to 400 deg Celsius so unless you use a solar oven (the monstruosity with a super focusing lense whose beam put a cutting laser to shame) it's not going to make money.

It's not rocket science to make oil from nearly anything, the same way oil reserve are still way way way over abundant... The problem is profitability, not availability. It's not like helium and barium where we are running out of the stuff, like in "empty shelves" out...

That guy is basically bringing a -bad- solution to a non existing problem... (Which is quite common in japan... Can't solve real problem... Let's make easy solution to non-issues...)

I remember seeing this back a few years ago. As you guys already pointed out, the energy it takes to the mess makes it pointless as far as conservation goes and his whole "we'll use Japanese technology!" is hilarious but it might actually make sense in Japan as far as reducing trash.
