It would defeat the purpose...if they only sold to women who need bras, there'd be no point trading in Japan.

Speaking of Abenomics, I noticed today that some wood in home centers is 20% or so more expensive.

OK...

You guys are probably not interested...

Time to get back to the bras.

A lot of Japanese guys seem to be obsessed with bras.

I know one guy who, whenever he delivers a presentation in English, finishes many of his sentences with "bra bra bra ...". I think he means "and so on," but he just slips into that bra obsession every time. Embarrassing.

I thought the whole point of marketing was to give the gullible consumer customer something to aspire to.

Just imagine if someone was selling crotch-emphasizing briefs to the underdimensioned male, yet the model was clearly in possession of not much more than a little cocktail wiener and two hazelnuts.

I got that bit and am sitting in the Orifice chuckling to myself (which I normally do, anyway, so the locals regard me as no more abnormal than normal) and, anyway, blah, blah, blah.....

Latest Data Help Allay Doubts Over Japan's Policies

If there have been doubts about the effectiveness of Japan's radical economic policies, widely known as "Abenomics," Friday's flurry of data should help put some of the disquiet to rest, analysts told CNBC.

The country released a slew of data from inflation to industrial output and retail sales, which largely painted an improving picture of the world's third largest economy.

Not sure. Could be net worth...

edit: This seems to be the definition...
Wealth is measured by the total sum of all our assets (homes, bank accounts, stocks, bonds etc) minus our liabilities (outstanding loans and other debts). It the best indicator we have for individual and family prosperity.

~39,000USD in the US is slummin' it if you're an employed adult.

Japan is going to be skewed for sure though...less broke youngins, plenty of old people with accumulated wealth, land "valued" in the millions

The FG waiter of the restaurant I ate lunch at yesterday told me that the number of customers dropped significantly from March on. The only people still coming are pensioners, young women, and a few other people who enjoy quality food. The number of company groups for diner (which is what keeps restaurants alive) have also dropped significantly.

Seems many people nowadays prefer to line up for cheapo 399 Yen lunches.

What's up with Abenomics?
