Amnesia

Postby Bucky » Mon Jul 15, 2013 11:07 pm

A guy who supposedly taught English in Asia, including Japan, seems to have lost his memory.

I had a similar problem with a deadbeat who "forgot" he owed me money. No problemo. A couple of more knocks to the head helped him recover his memory.

An address on his U.S. passport for a Japanese woman believed to be his ex-wife was a dead end

LOL, big surprise there.

If they did, how much you want to bet it was determined a suicide and there was no autopsy?

Actually, it seems like much about his life in the mysterious Orient is well-known, just not the name of his Japanese family.
His name Michael Boatwright "マイケル ボートライト" does not offer any leads in Japan, which is rather expected for a former engrish teacher.

There's an article in Aftonbladet today where people recognize him here in Sweden. He never used the name Johan Ek though as far as they know. He was here in the 80's and learned Swedish then when he was a member of a jousting team and also worked as a personal assistant. He was into role playing where many people know him from. He left sometimes in the 90's and after that no one have heard of him. They are surprised to see him to say the least. But if he already used to pretend being someone else he might do it now too or been injured so it has taken over. I think it's important his doctors knows this.

If the guy was in full scale role playing and also somehow snapped. It's going to take a lot of shrink and few backhoes to dig back his original personality...
