What's up with Japanese teachers

Postby canman » Tue Jul 16, 2013 8:36 pm

I was reading about the bullying case in Nagoya, even though the teacher witnessed bullying, according to other students in the class she did nothing! She told investigators that when the bullying students told the bullied boy "to die" it was a type of greeting ! This on the heels of the teacher who put duct tape on his students mouth to stop her from spreading germs. Where do they find these people!

I guess that a lot of teachers may be scared to intervene in most situations for fear of how rabid parents will come screaming to the defense of their horribly violent little diddums who's a good kid at heart despite make life turmoil for everyone else....

At least in the US they are 'good kids' only after a SWAT team with heavy firepower and close air support was needed to intervene in order to shoot them to kingdom come...

Make for a better circus show on TV... This and the usual 'thanks the lawd' when someone only take a bullet in elementary school shooting sprees...

The bullies are the sort who loved school and wish it would never end, and many often end up teachers. Then they get to engage in their favorite activity right up until they retire and start bullying their own children and their children's spouses and so on.

Oh how I hate assholes like that...no self confidence or self worth so power tripping is the only thing that gets them off.

A Japanese person in a position of authority not intervening. Is anyone here actually surprised by this?
