Wolverine Sequel May Be Set In Japan

Postby Mulboyne » Sun May 03, 2009 1:15 am

EXCLUSIVE: Hugh Jackman 'Talking To Writers' About 'Wolverine' Sequel Set In Japan

Sure, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" doesn't hit the multiplex circuit until this Friday (unless of course you're one of the lucky fans that live in Tempe, AZ), but that certainly isn't stopping the actor who's become synonymous with Marvel's franchise hero, Hugh Jackman, from dishing on where he'd like to take Wolvie on his next epic adventure -- both in terms of story and location.

"I won't lie to you, I have been talking to writers," Jackman told MTV News. "I'm a big fan of the Japanese saga in the comic book."

"However, it was also another one of my goals that you could see the end of this movie parlaying straight into ['X-Men'], finding that guy in the bar, fighting, drinking, with not much recollection of what's going on," added Jackman. "I thought that was important. However, we'll find out beginning of May if there's still an audience for it, if people still like the character. There's no point in telling the story if no one wants to hear it."

With a good opening box office draw it seems likely there will be a sequel, set in Japan or otherwise. Read excerpt below:

===========================================

It looks like the Internet pirates were held at bay, at least for X-Men Origins: Wolverine's opening weekend anyway. Fox and Marvel's PG-13 Hugh Jackman-starrer reportedly grossed an estimated $35 million at the North American box office on Friday (according to boxoffice.com), putting the film on pace to accumulate a predicted $84 to $89 over the full weekend.

Leaked photos of Hugh Jackman on the Japanese set of THE WOLVERINE ...

After filming scenes involving a funeral yesterday at a Buddhist temple in Japan, The Wolverine production has now moved to the Fukuyama Station in Hiroshima. In photos via various onlookers, the star Hugh Jackman is seen once again sporting the funeral garb from yesterday. However, this time he's alongside model/actress Tao Okamoto, who's playing Silver Samura's half-sister, Mariko Yashida.

You guys are too harsh. She speaks engrish, has extensive dance training so she can fake martial arts for the movie, has straight teeth and long legs. (In other words, she's not a monolingual, dwarfed, defective runt with snaggle teeth that we bitch about all the time.)

What's not to like about "Ancient Killer Alien Reptilican Tranny"?
At a slightly different angle taken at the same time period of the above photo, she's just fine...

Leggy and tall Tao Okamoto is certainly "willing" and not shy around foreigners...

She isn't much of a looker unless you're into real alien looking asian girls but if she speaks Engrish and looks this much like a cartoon character, why not? (Though I'm sure Coligny and I can think of quite a few other "stars" to fill the role)

Guys - she looks really edgy and high fashion. Look at those cheek bones and that porcelain skin. I think she looks amazing and her look would sell a bunch of fashion mags - not men's mags probably but to say she is ugly is untrue.

She's not exactly my cup of tea, but vastly preferable to a gaggle of simpering pedoesque AKB48ness.

The cheek bones... It's like saying a car is beautifull because it got a wide body kit... On a Subaru Imprezza... HELL YES... on a Tata Nano... WTF ?

She got a generic face out of ugly generica factory. WITH THE ADDED BONUS of small ugly eyes that are borderline of being symptomatic of foetal alcohol poisonning syndrome. (really, GIS that stuff, it a boner wrecker)

The skin... even in picture don't really have much of the porcelain perfection... since this is after 'shoppin... I dont want to know how it it IRL.

For reference, the ultimate cheekbones chick:

Michele Trachtenberg

And on the jawbones-boner inducing dept:

I think she looks amazing and her look would sell a bunch of fashion mags - not men's mags probably but to say she is ugly is untrue.

For an alien, she would be sort of passable... for a human... not so much...

GG, please don't tell me she's the type you'd introduce to your male friends as "cute?"

I'm not "offended" by her looks so much that I cringe and would call her ugly but the only reason I'd stare at here if I saw her on the street would be...

I'd hit it big time....

...but that's not to say you guys have bad taste.

Coligny's Gallic bird with the erect nipples almost made me ejaculate onto the bottom of my desk drawer (lucky I couldn't undo my fly and simply ended up creaming my undies). Gave me yet another reason to hate Japanese women's industrial strength bras.

I miss headlights on full beam!!!!!!!!!!!!

The above post got me thinking...

...on those few forays back into the real world that I have made, the beauty of Western women has always been alluring (just not as terminally afflicting as YBF), with the sole exception of legs...

...I'm a leg man. I love nice, shapely legs and rounded, creamy thighs (but if I'm really honest in replying if asked about what I most love about Western women's legs and Japanese women's legs, I'd have to say it was something in-between them). And you don't see them in the West...at least not highlighted with a nice set of heels the way they are here. Women there only seem to want to wear Army boots for fuck's sake.

No wonder Gen Y is fucked....how can you wank over a woman in fucking Army boots?
Do Gen Y guys even wank?

Are you fucking kidding me? Japanese girls have awful legs: tons of bruises and scars, poor hair removal (i.e. they don't wax), no muscle tone, bow legged, and too pale. Not to mention the fact that their legs often end in pigeon toed flat crusty feet in ill fitting shoes. Besides, even if they had nice legs they usually keep them hidden in stockings.

While there are forests of legs as you just described, there are plenty of orchards with nicer legs and some tasty fruit

I guess this was filmed in the town we are in now, Fukuyama in Hiroshima. Tokyo station in it is actually ours and this little fishing village part is supposed to be Nagasaki. A local told us that in the fishing village, had the pic of him and Hugh Jackman and all.

The reviews out of the US are mixed. Everyone seems to agree on one thing though. It's better than the last attempt at a Wolverine movie.

Maybe it's time to stop milking the comic books fans by putting superhero's name on top of cinematic turds...

Thor was easily one of the most embarrassing movie to be caught watching... The guys playing thor and the ridiculous horned bad guy were not real actors... I hope... Because i've seen better homevideos on youtube...

I just realized they re-re-rebooted spiderman less than a decade after the previous one....
