Colonel Cornholio's deep-fried soup!

Kentucky Fried Chicken Japan offering deep-fried soup

...
We bread the corn potage and cook it to a crisp,” explains the fast food giant, making their deep-fried sorcery sound like the most natural thing in the world. While we won’t be able to say for sure until we’ve taste-tested it, we can’t imagine the corn potage fritter, which KFC claims stays soft and creamy on the inside, being anything less than mouth-wateringly glorious.
Aside from simple gluttony, KFC cites the autobiography of founder Colonel Sanders as an inspiration for their new creation. The Colonel’s autobiography contains a recipe for potato bacon fritters, which KFC Japan started from and tweaked in developing its corn potage variant.
The corn potage fritter goes on sale September 5 at KFC locations across Japan.

Was it "Che Bap" -- Vietnamese Sweet Corn Pudding or "Canjica" -- Brazilian Sweet Corn Pudding?

According to the label it's "corn patage"

So even if they have a clue on what they are making, which is doubtful judging by their very choices, they still aint got no idea how to write it...

i'll wait for the camember cheeze and fondue icecream... Bonus point if they also manage to cram potatoes and bacon init...

Why a Japanese sweets maker aired a weirdly solemn ad for frozen treats

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe announced Wednesday that the government would yet again postpone a planned increase in the sales tax, an acknowledgment that even after taking drastic measures to improve the Japanese economy, officials there remain worried about whether consumers could afford steeper prices.

That concern about consumer spending has been epitomized this spring by a commercial for Garigari-kun, a frozen, sugary treat manufactured by Akagi Nyugyo. In the television spot, a group of employees solemnly bow as a musician sings about the price of Garigari-kun, which is going up 17 percent, from 60 yen to 70 yen.
