Non-radioactive, organic rice

Postby Taro Toporific » Thu Sep 22, 2011 3:33 pm

Just now I just received two 30 kg sacks of Shinmai (new harvest rice) from my Rice Ranch in Shikoku, far far away from the Fukushima fuckup. However, I really don't need so much rice since I still have about 10 kg of the old harvest rice.

For sale -- the Good Stuff -- We grow without pesticides or artificial fertilizers:
One 30 kg sack Shinmai rice (polished)
10,000 yen plus COD shipping of 1,200 yen.

We've been enjoying radiation-free new rice down here in Fukuoka for a couple of weeks now.
Wife's cuz grows rice on a few hectares so I imagine he'll be doing well this season.
One thing I've noticed seeing the rice harvest in my neighbourhood is that they don't hang it up to dry here. The mini combines here slice up the straw after removing the rice. I guess there is not much demand in the for rice straw for animal feed etc.

I took this photo of the lone field I saw that made a few bales.

Polished by a Polack.:p

My brother-in-law is holding out for higher prices for his "radiation free" crop too. I actually don't have anything to do with pricing of direct sales but it my turn out that dabbling in crop futures will make more than my damn crops (which was the case with my dry-land wheat in Colorado).

That is what i used it for in my farm back home despite the tatami.

Good for the kids to play on all bailed up and you also make a maze or bunker for games
