Yes and no. The plan was to move there friday....but my workload has literally tripled in the past 2 weeks so that didn't happen. Even with my move to Niigata, I need a place in Tokyo for work and the issue was still undecided. I was frantically trying to figure out what to do as I was supposed to be out of my current place soon (and in Niigata...with a month or so to plan) and yet found myself stuck in Tokyo longer with work obligations....just then IPU let me know "it's time" (we'd previously talked about him escaping his temporary housing situation) so we rescued all his stuff and the current lemur lair has been split up into two dungeons. Not sure if we'll stay here or move to another place but couldn't have been better timing and is a pretty good solution for both of us for now. (Hence the "domestic partnership" joke above)

Back to DudeBro dorm life... Should put Bigbrother cams in the place and setup a PayPerView chanel...

After all, I bought my washing machine more than 20 years ago for something like 13,000 Yen, and have since repaired it three times.

Total cost of repairs: less than 1000 Yen. That is a good enough reason for any Dutchman.

In short, I had Kuroneko come take my washing machine and sofa to their new inaka home...only the larger portion of the L-shaped sofa was too complicated for them to get out and down the stairs. So after a bunch of pointless talk, they finally agreed with me that they could simply lower it on a rope to the top of their truck and then down from there. Then the guy who was in charge basically said they can't do it that night because it's against their rules and "dangerous" to do something like that when it's dark out. WTF?? The whole area is lit up! I'm done trying to push them so I give in and let them reschedule for today. On the way back to the apartment a sec ago and I get a frantic call, it's Kuroneko and they are "terribly sorry" they can't do it today due to this "typhoon" This slight mist?!! "Abunai blah blah blah" Are they always such pussys? if I had some tie straps or a decent rope, I'd do it myself, in front of them but TIJ and the straps/rope probably cost more than it does to just wait for their 3rd attempt.
