I just noticed that japanprobe.com has not been updated for ~6 months or so. What happened that caused the site to become discontinued. Anyone have the inside scoop?

I have no "inside poop" japanprobe.com, but all of the principals of japanprobe are still posting madly on other venues.

Perhaps japanprobe decided to lay low and keep a low profile so that Japanese blogosphere's Village Idiot who is J-school graduate would find something else more interesting to whine and act crazy about.

Yes, I have the inside scoop and I know the real reason.

To protect his/her identity, I'm not allowed to say specifically, but it has nothing to do with threats from the Japan-reject gallery. He/she remains anonymous not because of them, but because he/she blogs about China/Korean related issues. If you think J-freeloader man-childs are nutty... wait until you see the comments from the CK-defense-league crew. THOSE are the type of comments you report as life-threatening, report-to-police type.

The real reason he/she hasn't touched it is far more benign: he/she is really, really, busy with stuff in real life right now.

And as long as the site continues earning revenue from ads, there's no reason to pull the plug.
