This stuff is such BS. First off it is not true at all and is probably just her roommates preference.. And secondly she has 12000 views in a week for spouting nonsense.

I made this video after a friend got us an invitation to watch a highly respected blacksmith from an area that has been making been making tools for 100 years (Tosa in Shikoku) and it's gotten more but not much more in just over 6 months... Maybe I'll start talking about Hello Kitty slippers instead and that will get me more views.. Another friend in Kobe has a pretty popular channel because he shows his kids talking about Japan stuff. Yep you are absolutely correct on both. Luckily in the areas I know at least, tools, blades, and crafts Japan is pretty good at preserving the tradition at least in my experience from meeting the craftsman. And yeah there is a lot of good stuff on youtube, just gotta wade through make-up tutorials by 13 year olds to find it.

I'm not sure I'd go quite so far as to say it's brilliant, but it's not bad. It's brilliant that she can pull that off on an upright piano, though.

Though she has a few slips of the fingers, I still think she roars, whatever her tits look like.

She is not as good as a genius like Arthur Rubinstein, but I have heard professionals playing worse than she does.

And this piece of Chopin, it's just sheer terror in the last 1.5 minutes. Even in the easier passages it is difficult to get the musical interpretation right.

Oh, and the tits. This video gives you a better look. What shall I say, even Coligny will have to admit that my initial judgement was right?

I didn't mean to imply, nor do I think, that the Japanese pianist has no talent. I thought she was good (and I thought I said so). The equipment, indeed, makes it hard to judge. Even if you put Tiger Woods on a miniature golf course with a putter, it's kind of hard to conclude one way or another whether he's a brilliant golfer or not. I think it's rather similar when listening to Chopin on an upright piano in somebody's apartment.

EDIT: and indeed she sounds quite good on the Revolutionary Etude recording. Thanks for posting.
