This isn't GP. Hopefully some will find it amusing that it was me that felt the need to point that out.

Hey new folks. It is nice to meet y'all. I do think you'll find, though, that there's more fun to be had on FG than writing about each other. Recommended topics that can turn into instant classics here:

  • Police getting in trouble for doing something embarrassing / illegal
  • A new Japanese trend that nobody in Japan has ever heard of, but somehow the overseas press is all over it.
  • Your Japanese BF/GF's psychopathic behaviour
  • Goats

Just to give you some ideas to start with.

If you use the right kind of manga, yes, they can both lead to the same result.

The short answer is: "yes, provided you clean up the mess when getting off".

The long answer is: "no".

Eating mah cukies laffing at how so sadly these noobs are going to get eaten alive. Some answers on what this community is about:

1. Most of us have been here in Japan quite a while. Personally 12 years in Dec.
2. I'm not sure if any single one of the long time members is an English teacher. If they are they are good at it and a pro.
3. Most of us are respected professionals of some kind or another.
4. We come here to forget that. And fuck around fight with each other in no-internet meme kinda ways. But sometimes that too.
5. Most of us are not children (!coligny).
6. Most of us (!coligny) don't spend a ton of time on the internets trying to make ourselves over (quote Superfly) cause there is no point.
7. We as a collective group are small but worldwide. The Tokyo peeps know each other personally but some of us just know most from this forum.
8. WE went through as a small group 3/11 with one of our members or more being so close many of us were personally worried about him
9. Don't Fuck with Fucked Gaijin if you are not Fucked enough personally.
10. I don't read Reddit for a reason and I have eaten trolls professionally for about a 17 year career and have already offered my service to the admin if needed.
11. (Cause it has to go to 11) In short we just really aren't a group that fucks around. Kapische?

I got the gist of all that OK, but this threw me. What does it mean? Do you just ban them and all their proxies or do you humiliate them so badly they never darken the virtual doorstep again. Is it Trollbusters? You know like - "Who you gonna call?" "Trollbusters!"
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

I thought the banning only took place when we ran out of things to insult the offending troll about. Although some trolls did serve a purpose (McTojo), as he made everyone feel that no matter what evil deeds they had done, no matter how many times we would wake up at night to the screams of those we napalmed figuratively and literally, McTojo was there to reassure us that we had not reached the bottom, and if we ever did, we would not be alone, for he shall be the one to dwell there for all eternity forever lost in a world of imaginary jukojos。

Donki (not the Bikurri one) has a nice selection of Tenga, reasonably priced, ready for use, and free of shame.

In a former life far far away from this place on a "serious server" I was threatened with physical violence from some idiot who also lived in Japan because I banned their entire troll group at the username level. The system I worked at was not based in Japan, it was merely a coincidence that he lived there too and he was number 1320 on the list to hate me and want to come to my house (probably 5 digits by nowadays, they all do hah). Only this guy was in Japan. They kept coming back so I traced them. They were using multiple IPs scattered around the world but his led back to Gifu. Don't remember it all exactly or how far I went down the classes on the IPs but I think like a few cities on the East Coast of the US, and a few in Europe, and I think I even down to the Ketai provider level in Gifu got banned for a few months. Not a single person from Gifu could even get to our website let alone the servers. It was pretty fun times.

They shut up after that. 8-)

That's a pity, because that disqualifies you from joining our private forum in which we exchange all experiences on using our Tengas.

In fact, it is not only experiences we exchange, we also exchange the things themselves...

Niko, I agree with a lot of your characterisation of the FG community. But I think it's always been dynamic, and personally I'm not necessarily opposed to things getting shaken up a little from time to time.

nikoneko wrote:1. Most of us have been here in Japan quite a while. Personally 12 years in Dec.

Which means you were here about 1 year when FG was born (if I remember dates correctly). Believe it or not, the place did not suck entirely when we were younger and smarter than we are now. There's been a constant inflow and outflow of users (except Taro, who's like the Akiko Wada of FG, but cuter). Lately the community seems to have solidified with more longer-term residents than recent arrivals, but it hasn't always been that way.

2. I'm not sure if any single one of the long time members is an English teacher. If they are they are good at it and a pro.

We've lost quite a lot of regulars since 3/11, but there have been quite a few English teachers that have been great, major contributors here in the past. But I think you may be right... not too many left.
3. Most of us are respected professionals of some kind or another.

I had some doubts about my host club career, but thank you for the endorsement!

11. (Cause it has to go to 11) In short we just really aren't a group that fucks around. Kapische?

I thought that was all we did... maybe it's just me.

It could lead to an interesting Zen paradox, if nothing else.
