I'm really not so sure aboot this being toyohashi Eki...But since the station is bipolar and terminus for Meitetsu (gifu-Toyohashi) maybe it's a view from the other half where I never go...

The station is really in the center of the village, and I don't remember ever seeing this red pseudo brick building.., according to the sun position that would put it at the place of the new opera house... Which replace the old stop for the Toyohashi university of technology local line... Unpossibul...

When I think of Toyohashi, I think of the city in Aichi at the end of the Meitetsu line. That's an hour's haul out of Nagoya. Only been as far as Zengo eki [quite a few times].

Not aware of any such station serviced by the Tokyo Metro Ginza line [orange colour line]

OK, it looks like I need to explain. It seems that the new rolling stock of the Ginza line were built in Toyokawa and then hauled by rail to Kawasaki for final fitting out. Densha otaku were out in force, and there are literally countless youtube clips of the poor thing being dragged along the Tokaido Honsen.　Filmed on 8 June this year.

And the train rollingstock factory in Toyokawa is behind the Police Driving Test center and one of the Jeitai facility across the road.
Sometimes we also have road transit of shinkansen rolling stock through Toyohashi, might be because the Shinkansen is for 1435 mm for export compatibility reason while other trains have the standard more or less metric width. Well unless you're in Hokkaido... then all bets are off...

ANd here, top right, you can see the sign "Shin Toyohashi Eki", which is in fact on the outside wall of a newly build 2 floor combini over the Toyohashi Tech Univ line terminus...

So I was totally not recognizing this side of the station since the meitetsu terminal extend at the other side of the overhead building in the background at the start of the clip. and I never go the other side, where the clip was taken (there shall be dragons...).

The clue to avoid further confusion is the use of the term 甲種輸送. This is transporting of standard guage rolling stock on temporary Cape (metre-ish) gauge axles.

Ok, after looking a bit when I left Meatball at the eki daycare the other day... The scaffoldings are in fact the final exterior decoration of the opera house...
