Ever worked in an eikaiwa? Take the survey

Postby eikaiwateachers » Sun Nov 02, 2003 3:07 pm

NEW SURVEY at http://www.eikaiwateachers.uni.cc
We are conducting a five minute survey regarding the quality of education at eikaiwas. If you've ever worked at an eikaiwa, please take our short survey.

Also, we'd like to thank all the current eikaiwa teachers for completing our last survey regarding working conditions in eikaiwa schools. You can see the results by clicking the "survey results" icon on the menu bar at http://www.eikaiwateachers.uni.cc

After you've completed the survey, please pass it along to a friend.

a five minute survey

3 second you mean.....

Whats the point - we all know nihonjin run eikaikawas are about money.

In my private lessons - students prefer entertainment, to real learning for it is safe.

In Japan the level of English wont change because the majority of students thinks a Gaijin is an entertainment monkey...

F` em if they want games I give em games. Copy the lesson out of a book - three minutes preperation and everyone is happy 8) [/quote]

Ahhhh, sheeeeeee-it. I've been hoaxed again by "x" and company. Ha, ha, that was a good one, and hell I stand by what I said on the survey, "the words 'quality' and 'eikaiwa' are like the combination of 'chicken' and 'salad' or something."

"At the eikaiwas I have worked at, the school's focus has been on providing entertaining lessons as opposed to lessons where the students learn to speak English."
This question implies these things are mutually exclusive. Who in their right mind would want a boring lesson? People learn faster when they're in a good mood, especially children.

Since there were many (mostly) logical contradictions in and among the eikaiwa questions, I can't wait to read the satiritcal ONIONesque piece to appear in japan.box.sk (the source of survey).
