This story was all over the morning shows. Gaijin hanzai on the loose and dangerous, until he turned himself in fir food and slippers.

Seems it was all a disagreement over not getting free noodles at some ramenya promo.

The morning shows were worse than usual with this one. They made it sound like a serial rapist was on the loose fucking victims willy-nilly. I was watching "Sukkiri" and they asked their expert whether or not the police were partly to blame for not securing the guy in the interrogation room. He said that they of course weren't because unlike gaijin Japanese tend to be otonashii once arrested implying there was no way for the cops to have anticipated such behavior.

What bullshit....as soon as they announce "you're under arrest" they cuff you and tie you to the seat that you're being interrogated in. Same for anyone FG or Japanese. The only uncooperative and rowdy mother fuckers I ever saw in detention were all Japanese and probably drugged out of their minds.

The security in those places is indeed pretty comical. Hand cuffed inside the locked cells....but uncuff you and tie you to a folding chair when meeting with officials/attorneys/etc. The oyaji guards are unarmed and yeah, anyone motivated to fuck shit up there would have no problem doing so.
