Ehhh, I'd agree that there were definitely pros in the mix. No need to overstate it as all of them being kidnapped and forced into sex slavery....but even if was only one K-girl that went through it all against her will, considering that it was state sanctioned, I agree with the need for a state sanctioned apology. It's in no country's interest to downplay how many were against there will or to bring up retracting an apology. Zero benefit to such action while it just gives the Nationalistic Koreans another excuse to tell their children how horrible the Japanese are.

It doesn't take much for them to grow. I was part of the Rock Against Racism movement in the late 70s' in the UK. Very soon the National Front found themselves hugely outnumbered, scared and cowering behind the police. In pretty short order they fell out amongst themselves, splintered and were even more badly outnumbered every time they showed their ugly faces in public.

It then took them years to recover any unity or numbers but they never go away completely. Every now and again they regroup and have another go and they have to be faced down all over again.
