Well, your question is a touch cursory, so it is difficult to give a definitive answer, but the first thing I would point out is your lack of a copula. Anyways, a few options present themselves. Assuming we can assume ceteris paribus, and depending on what it is that an ALT actually is, a 9 month ALT would likely be worth 2 months less than an 11 month ALT. I came to that answer by subtracting 9 from 11 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subtraction). You do need to keep in mind that the term "annual salary" refers to an amount calculated on an annual basis which is usually a unit defined as a 12 month period or term, for which neither a 9 month ALT nor an 11 Month ALT strictly qualify.

Anyways, hope that helps and You're Welcome.

You are right but I assume (and hope) Pragmatic is talking about two different jobs with differing pay over holiday periods etc. And this doesn't bode well for his English teaching:

I was just wondering what the approximate annual salary of a 9 month ALT vs an 11 month ALT

This is not a sentence as it lacks a main verb. (And a full stop but I can accept that may be stylistic choice)

I have another question:

I was just wondering what the approximate length of a red piece of string vs a brown piece of string is.
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Which one is longer?

BTW, it's still more fun to call it a Copula (especially if you make it a verb tee hee :-D ), but did I use that term wrongly there?

For a moment I thought you were an expert in probability theory, though...

Trick question. It depends on the relative humidity and dew point amongst other things.

I am not sure but I think copula is an adjective so strictly speaking you should probably say copula verb. However, copula is a common and accepted ellipsis amongst us highly trained linguistic experts and since it serves to further baffle the unwashed masses it is arguably desirable.
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

OK, now you have me truly intrigued (or as the net unintelligentsia like to say, "My interest is peaked" when they mean "piqued," although "peaked" kinda works, kinda sorta).

Right, so if I'm using a copula, am I copulating? I need to know because if it's true, then I've been missing out on all kinds of fun.

Yours sincerely,

Francis Ford Copula

BTW, I need some advice: should I have the hamburger or the steak for lunch?

Upon reflection, I now understand better what Bill Clinton hinted at...

I would just love to have been a fly on the wall when the OP was making the decision whether to make the move to Japan.
