I've usually get heckled everytime I bring this up. I would go for a Kritocracy (not kratocracy) with fixed laws based on property rights and damage as a cause of action. But since those historically become corrupted quickly a constitutional monarchy would be a pretty good alternative.

Missing MH370 carried lithium ion batteries as cargo but not seen as 'dangerous'
Malaysian authorities on Friday confirmed that the missing Malaysia Airline Flight MH370 was carrying some lithium ion batteries in its cargo hold but did not regard them as endangering safety because standard rules were observed in packing the batteries for transportation.

Lithium ion batteries - commonly used in laptops and mobile phones - are prone to overheating and have been known to burst into flames. But this is a relatively rare occurrence although it has prompted some instances of recall of such batteries.

In reply to a question during a press conference here on Friday, Malaysian officials said the cargo on board the missing plane was being investigated but authorities did not regard the lithium ion batteries as dangerous and standard rules were observed in packing the batteries for transportation.

"These are not regarded as dangerous goods... and were packed as recommended by the International Civil Aviation Organisation," said Malaysia Airlines CEO Ahmad Jauhari Yahya...

Lithium-ion batteries are unstable in use, when charging or when physically abused/mollested.
So just one more 'maybeeeee' to the already incredibly long list of theory that are at least physically possible and not downright insane.

It's not a chimney exhaust grill ?
A solar panel, small and under tree cover, pretty useless no ?

Hmm, upon closer inspection I conclude that it is neither a solar panel, nor a chimney, but rather a window.

That leaves only unicorn farts as his source of energy, though...

Billy Graham's Daughter Sees the Rapture in Malaysian Airlines Disappearance

If you've been waiting for someone to link the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 to The Rapture, thanks to the Reverend Billy Graham's daughter, your wait is over. According to Anne Graham Lotz, the disappearance of the Boeing 777 over the Indian Ocean could be a sign that The Rapture might be around the corner.

Ms. Graham Lotz's Malaysia Airlines theorizing, coupled with her brother Franklin's recent declaration of support for the way Russia's Valadimir Putin is dealing with gays in his country, makes one think that March Madness extends far beyond the nation's premier basketball tournament.

Graham Lotz, a Christian evangelist, begins her piece, titled "Malaysian Airliner Disappearance Offers Snapshot of Post-Rapture World Shock," by citing 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17: "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."

She then poses a series of questions that many have been asking:

"How could a modern airliner drop out of sight so quickly and completely? What happened to the plane itself? Was it hijacked? Was it blown out of the sky? Did something happen to the pilots so that without guidance the plane plunged intact into the depths of the sea?"

"Bottom line," she writes, "Where are all the people?"

Moarrr...

Yeah, there could be a rash of rudely shocked Tsukiji fish cutters following the next catch. A possible growth niche for PTSD counsellors.

I wonder if they'll start a new consumer advisory system for that catch:

Wouldn't it be really crazy if that nation actually had a fleet of ships just heading back from the Southern Ocean that could assist in the search for debris? Maybe work hand-in-hand with their eco-"tourist" stalkers... :romance:

Several dozen of the relatives traveled to Malaysia on Sunday and staged a protest after arriving, holding up banners that read "We want evidence, truth, dignity" in Chinese, and "Hand us the murderer. Tell us the truth. Give us our relatives back."

Empowered by a situation in which they can demand answers from a foreign government in a way that they cannot normally expect to do at home, the relatives have been strident in grilling Malaysian authorities for information, Beijing-based commentator Zhang Lifan said.

"There is no obstacle for them to question the Malaysian government in order to defend their rights. Put in similar scenarios but with the Chinese government in place, they won't find it that easy to question the authorities," he said.

The Worst Place in the World for MH370 to Go Missing
Hope to find the Boeing 777 was virtually destroyed by a month of bungled searching and
propaganda against the pilots. The only saving grace was one lonely satellite company’s brilliance.

It’s now a month since Malaysian Flight MH370 became modern aviation’s greatest mystery. Certain things are clear and many of them are disturbing...
