20 Most Peaceful Countries in the World: No. 10 - Japan

Postby yanpa » Tue Mar 25, 2014 9:17 pm

One of the most enchanting countries culturally, Japan has the third largest economy in the world. Since the World War II, Japan has been really peaceful, with little internal conflict and low crime. Moreover, the country maintains cordial relations with its neighbors. Japan has not had a professional military since the end of WWII. The country settles on an internal security force in order to maintain the peace. Personally I enjoy visiting Japan and I also consider this country to be peaceful as well as breathtakingly beautiful.

Obviously never been to Japan with his brain and faculties engaged. It's truly amazing how many people manage that trick. Mind you it happens in other countries too. Thailand springs to mind.
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Upper end of Sukhumwit, north side of the street around Soi 5 (IIRC) should keep you happy.

You'd miss the whole "stuff just works" thing they have going on in Japan (at least at consumer interaction level, Thailand doesn't have any nuclear power stations). Though I do hear they've completed the pedestrian bridge on the east side of the Asoke intersection, which would have removed the whole "cross 6 lanes of traffic, some of them coming from the wrong direction" experience which so ennervated my commute, had it been completed in the decade it was planned for.

Meanwhile in Shinjuku I notice an upsurge in Thai tourists and businesses catering to them.

And how defensive they get when poked, prodded or challenged on it.

"Japan is really peaceful".

"The country settles on an internal security force in order to maintain the peace."

"I know this because my pen pal Haruo told me"

Either that is taken from a Grade 4 Special Class Geography report (How To Use a Thesaurus), or Japan really is a moron magnet.

Ok, ok, we shouldn't be so hard on this demented "author". The moronic content is just bot-scraped from random sources on the Net and then re-packaged as a spam/content farm (amerikanki.com) that is meant to sell crappy health products/schemes.

Well, at the usual 10% rate, sure, but it seems to me it is disproportionately attractive to wingnuts and slop brained emotards and spastics that find in it something not even really there and certainly not visible to those of us who don't require heavy prescription medication to lead a reasonable fascimile of a normal life.

Where else could somebody get away with claims to transethnicity?????

And the Japanese love dat shiite, so the circle of pain continues.

Have you met many French and Belgian Weebotards? Between the gushy English and the childish fascination with trivial BS they really do pose a mental health hazard to those around them. It's like going to a favourite bar and finding out it's been rented out by an anime convention.

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH

PS the FucBook comments there are priceless. Is it just me or is it time to revoke English as a lingua franca????

Take's shtick was old back in the day. Was a time when it was almost funny. Now he just keeps poisoning the nostalgia well.

Meanwhile that shtick looking even dustier/rustier these days. Also, is it just me or has the clever character produced by its author actually experienced in improvement in his "fake bad English" ability? Or is the mask slipping? Author out of practice, perhaps.

Fake bullying/baiting/trolling gaijin on a gaijin forum... hmmm

Amen, brudda. I used to enjoy a touch of MacTojo back at Ye Olde Place, but this twat is just tiresome. He's not even putting his back into it anymore, if he ever was.

I always felt the key to a good Pseudonese poster was their attention to detail: any reference to anything Japanese must be laboriously explained, preferably in drippingly solicitous pedantry and with a relevant Wikipedia link that looks like it was written by him or one like him. It helps maintain the veneer of veracity or at least verissimilitude.

I no longer have any idea what Coligny is saying most of the time ("toats"???? :?: ), but at least he's nuts. :spin: Takechinpo is just boring.

I think it should be written "totes" but "toats" add a welcomed layer of tardness. Seems to mean "totally" when used by moronic young people.
