A quick search suggests that the way to get them in Tokyo is to have someone you work with bring them back as omiyage from Germany. http://d.hatena.ne.jp/sweet_memory/20050207

The product is made by Ferrero Deutschland http://www.ferrero.de/#/ha and although other Ferrero products are distributed in Japan this product is not one of them.

The big river site does offer the product, but I haven't checked links for international shipping or stuff like that.

*Haselnuss*, not *Hanselnuss*.

I took the liberty of correcting the title :)

Gretelnuß is feeling rejected now. Maybe yanpa should give her a wafer (not a euphemism, even if it probably should be).

If I would search for it without any foreknowledge, I would try Don Quichotte. They have sometimes stuff like that.

Yes, but would need a shitload of luck to find this particular stuff available there... and at the time of the visit... (these shops seems to be restocked according to moon phase/tide schedules...)

It also looks like the Hakurai Yokocho at World Import Mart in Sunshine City Ikebukuro, which, while being an excellent use for the site where Tojo was hanged, never appeared particularly vibrant whenever I was there even years and years ago, has finally closed down and maybe become a theme park devoted to Dragonball Z and KochiKame. That used to be a site to get small market foreign goods, but even then I don't think you could ever get goods which the distributor wasn't bringing into the country.

Don Quixote seems to be a shop designed for the person who wants to idly consume but doesn't know what they want: they can go in and look around and find something serendipitous to spend their money on. There is no guarantee that it will be in the same place, or even in the shop at all, next time they visit. It is not a shop for someone who knows what they are looking for and wants to get in and get out quickly. There is a reason I never go there.

Hmm, I am a regular.

The chocolates I buy there (in mass) are 30% cheaper than in any other shop in Japan.
