Well I have a question, that I am hoping some of you may have an answer to. Up until about last Tuesday I was able to check the FG boards from my home box. Then suddenly, I came home from work...and nothing. When I try to connect to the FG forums page, I get a DNS error/ can't resolve the ip error. I do not have this problem with any other sites/ pages. AS far as I know, nothing has changed. I haven't installed any 3rd party software or new hardware for some time. I haven't installed any patches for explorer recently. I am stumped. I have absolutely no problems connecting from work, or other comps, but my home machine just wont do it. Any ideas? Currently I am running XPpro, AMD 2100+, 512megs RAM, Nvidia nforce 2 chipset, 26meg adsl. Maybe it's time for a fresh start...anyway if you have any ideas, if you would not mind, shoot, cause I am getting very FG' frustrated.
The board has detected that you are trying to maintain your FG status *at* home.
This is not possible.
To access the FG Forum you must be at work in a dull dreary lifeless Japanese office environment doing some thankless humdrum dead end job surrounded by a sea of hung over ocha drinking salary men and keitai toting fashion conscious Ol's.
Oh, well then I see that everything is a-OK then. silly me, thought it was something to do with me, rather than...me. But I live in my office, surrounded by hungover, dreary ocha slurping salerymen/women (no discrimination here..for a wonder)....so, might need a little more help.

YES! That would be the smart way. Me? I would just download a new version of a browser not previously installed on the machine (lets say Opera), shave my head again, paint it purple, do the Phucky Chicken around my ADSL router, and pray that would fix the problem (since all the cookies would be gone).
unfortunately, have tried that, but thanks. I have even turned off all my POP up Killers/ adaware stuff, thinking they might have taken a piss on me, but alas, that too does not seem to change anything. cookies?
Hmm, in that case, manually add FG's IP address and domain name adddress to your C:WindowsSystem32DriversEtcHosts file. Then FG will be resolved locally before it hits your DNS servers.
