Japan's Princess Sayako, daughter of Emperor Akahito, expressed hope that her official visit to Uruguay would help deepen the bonds between the south American country and Japan.
The 34-year-old Japanese royal, who touched down here Sunday on a five day tour, told reporters her visit represented "an opportunity to deepen the relations of friendship" between Uruguay and Japan.
In case you are still with me I am sure it doesn't surprise you to know that there are NO relations of friendship between Uruguay and Japan and never have been. I would warrant nobody in Japan could actually point on a map to Uruguay.
