Cold clear sake with vanilla ice cream. Ever try it? Where?

Postby torasan » Tue Aug 26, 2014 5:48 pm

I saw some news the other day in a tourist rag and one entry was from Fushimi area, and it said that at the Fushimi Yume Hyakushu eatery and drinkery, they now serve cold clear sake in that wooden boxy thingy -- seishu sake -- with a scoop on vanilla ice cream floating in the sake. Ever seeen this or try it?

Ever the one to try something new, I bought some cold clear sake at the local combini, bought some vanilla ice cream in a cup and then sat down at the counter to try the combo.

I was blown away by the surprising taste! Absolut-lee delicious. Later the ice cream melts into the sake and one is left with a liquid that looks like and tastes like nigorizake!

Have you have tried this in Japan or elsewhere? There are a few pics on Google images but mostly commercial pics. Try it. Highly recommended. New taste! Certainly weird but i think this will catch on worldwide once WORD gets out!

Let's see how good torasan is. Can you spot the Jewish ice cream in this photo?

I was not raised in that tradition, but the middle one seems to be it. Yes?

It could be the left one too.

Jews with red skins, on the other hand, are very rare.

Actually, the American Indians -- redskins -- are all Jewish, according to the BOOK of MORMONI aka the Mormon bible where they say Jesus somehow made his way to North America to visit the Indians in 33 BC and bless them as the lost tribe of the Jews. And there is even a photo to prove this trip Jesus took from the Holy Land to Wisconin without an airplane or ship. So yes the redskins ARE Jews for sure, according to Joe Smith.

Care to share this photo?

That must have been some impressive Zoroastrian technology to take that snap.

And I am anxious to know how Jesus moved from the Middle East to America without the use of an airplane or ship. There seem to be some hidden gems of ancient technology I am not aware of.

Don't tell me he walked over the water all the way. I don't believe that, because it would be too far.

That was good SJ. I made an involuntary snorting noise when I read that and got stared at by fellow train commuters.

OK, so the involuntary snorting noise was the reason for the stares today. What was the reason for the stares yesterday?

Well, with the lack of reliability with with Mr Tora reports the beliefs of the Latter Day Saints -- name of the book and date is wrong for a start -- I think it is necessary to point out that transport was via Heaven: after rising to Heaven as per the Bible, Jesus then descended from Heaven in the book 3 Nephi and appeared to the tribes in North America. This is not to be confused with the Second Coming, which is still to come.

Here endeth the Lesson.

It takes the International Space Station about 100 minutes to move from the heaven above the Promised Land to the heaven above the Land of God, so that would be the easy part.

The hard part would be to get into the space station from the earth's surface in the first place, and from there to descend again.

But Jesus being Jesus, he would only have needed to get himself crucified to reach those wuthering heights.

Now I only need a photograph as proof...

'The crowning event recorded in the Book of Mormon is the personal ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ among the Nephites AKA REDSKINS soon after his resurrection.
