It's ok, now know more than I need...

If a japintock(*) want to speak honorifically to me he should start by doing it in French...

(*)It's a nod to "Les Shadoks" A pack of braindead moronic creatures one of their moto being "work hard, not smart"...
In picture here
Others of their theory of life are:
•"Better to pump even if nothing happens than to risk something worse happening by not pumping"
•"Why do it the easy way when you can do it the hard way?"
•"When one tries continuously, one ends up succeeding. Thus, the more one fails, the greater the chance that it will work."
•"If there is no solution, it is because there is no problem."
•"To reduce the numbers of unhappy people, always beat up the same individuals."
But at least their language only included 4 words... Ga Bu Zo and Meu, making things much easier for tourist and dictionnary publishers...

I feel like trapped in one bad episode of their show since I landed here...

I am going to brush up my French.

Even if it just for understanding Les Shadoks...

Can somebody explain that part slowly to mee ?

Basically the Hooters girls speak to them in common Japanese (like equals) instead of the bow down to your customer gods version of Japanese. Naturally, since this goes against the "We Japanese" guidebook, you get some of "those guys" who are offended/insulted/etc. by it. Even worse, the managers don't try to explain why it is this way...they bow down and apologize.

Did you actually find a cute Hooters girl in Japan? I've been a couple of times but the only talent I saw was the girls they sent from the US to train the locals.

I ended up at Hooters last night for the first time in a long time. It seems like the girls have gotten cuter and the food has gotten better.

OK. How drunk were you, and what happened when you took the server to karaoke? :drunk:

I wasn't drunk when I got there (Shibuya-ten FYI) and formed my opinion before getting drunk so I think my judgement was sound. Unfortunately I had other plans that prevented me from doing mochi-kaeri. And I'm sure it was only those plans that prevented me.

Yeah, I was wondering if it wasn't location. The service sucks ass though. I know they don't hire those broads for their intelligence or common sense but they kept missing orders. Also, since they want to hire English speakers it seems like they ended up with a lot of halfs/kikokushijo who aren't fully functional in either English or Japanese. The best is when I ordered three pitchers of beer and waitress asked, "Nama de ii desuka?" I told her no I wanted her to fill the pitchers with a bunch of cans. That only confused her more though. They also take forever to bring drinks and food. The bar and the kitchen are really understaffed given the size of the Shibuya-ten. It's fucking massive. There were plenty of empty seats though. We had a reservation for 20 but we could have been 60 and got in no problem. I wonder how long it's going to last. Anyway, Kurogane would be happy to know they serve ice- and I mean ice-cold Bud.

Yeah, it must be wanting to put out a better look for that location. Do they advertise at all? All they'd need to do is send a train of the girls to run by the scramble kosaten every hour and it would be packed.

I don't know. It seems like no one is aware the Shibuya-ten exists. Not that I really give a fuck whether they survive or not but they definitely need to step their game up if they want to.

Damn, how long has the Shibuya one been there? I go right past the location at least once a month.

I want to say it was in July that it opened but can't remember? Either way, yeah, the shitty PR is bad, even by Japanese standards.

According to this it opened in April. It's on the 4th floor and the sign is high up so it'd be easy walk past without noticing if you weren't looking for it. Especially with sensory overload of Shibuya to distract you.
