Usually a combination of being drunk and ショック！since they've never been to clubs before. The one on Halloween literally had her head forced into the guy (hand on the back of her head) as she was walking out the door....no warning on that and had I not shoved my elbow in his face, he probably would have stuck his tongue down her throat.

I see, my wife was a hardcore clubber before I met her, but not a Roppongi person, more Koto Dori.

I think the only time we encountered someone she couldn't shake off in four seconds it was a Japanese guy who was more focussed on winding up gaijin than chatting up women. One of those guys who pretends to be friendly while drivelling inanity. We ignored him, he went away.

I don't think this kind of thing happens much. Generally the worst I'll see is a drunk guy who can't take a hint and keeps trying to chat a girl up. However, that's just as likely to be one of my friends as it is a stranger. If it is one of friends harassing a random lady, I'll set him straight. I don't generally take women to places where that's likely to happen. I also don't walk around with a chip on my shoulder like choko seems to looking for an excuse to start something. Generally speaking if you tell someone to back off they will. If it's the kind of place that has bouncers, it's always better to call one of them and let the girl make a complaint. If I didn't make it clear, the last thing I wanted to do any of these nights would have been fight. I may have brought sand to the beach but I planned on pounding that sand later, not some asshole at the risk of getting arrested.
