Don't worry: Yanpa feels duty bound to see your personal blog fully funded through FG, regardless of his personal feelings voiced in the moderator's forum:

Not trying to piss in anyone's cheerios or anything, but what exactly was the reason in posting the screen capture? I mean Coligny is probably keen to who doesn't care for his presence. If it was meant to be a cut (pretty sure that it wasn't) but this IS Coligny, it's not like your gonna hurt the Frenchman's feelings. I like the contrast between him and Samurai Jerk. They tell it like they see it. I mean aren't we all here because we're disgruntled in some way?

The point was simple: the only person with privs to boot Spamligny is Yanpa, who in private speaks one way but does nothing. Can't think of a better thread than this one to point that out.

Without screens it would just be heresay.

Hmm, well, I wasn't even aware I was speaking in private with you, Mr. cstaylor who has been absent from the forum for yonks, whom I've never met and I only know vaguely by hearsay...

Got bigger fish to fry at the moment so when you kiddies sort out your little spat let me know and I'll send in the cleanup squad.

He isn't an everyday user: he's 100% responsible for FG 2.0 after name of former mod redacted got tired of dealing with it. This isn't a democracy where mods can vote to boot someone, and there isn't another mod on this forum that would shed a single tear if Kittens had to find another home.

I think it's beyond the point where he can say, "hey, sorry, I was a dick, but I'll be nice from now on".

Maybe, but we all have our limits and if Yampa's was really breached, then Coligny would be a memory. I mean in the technical sense Yampa could wipe every thread that had a single utterance of him. So the prima facie evidence is that Yampa must not dislike Coligny as much as he expresses to the mod section. Otherwise he wouldn't tacitly consent to his presence.

I mean even God doesn't have to apologize for his actions does he?

Hey, look, you're never going to pull the trigger on this one, I get it, but you're the only one who can unless you put it up for a vote in the mod's forum.

Cstaylor: I can't figure out if you're primarily attacking Coligny or Yanpa. Either way it's really unpleasant. Drunk or something? Why come in out of the blue, after a long absence, and do this? Doesn't make sense.

I'm attacking neither. Yanpa enables Kittens: that's his prerogative as this is his board, but don't piss on my leg and tell me its raining in the mod's forum.

Yokohammer wrote:Why come in out of the blue, after a long absence, and do this?

Well, Omae sent me a message a few days back when spamligny started posting again, so I logged in and read through the mod forum backlog.

I get alot of where cstaylor is coming from. I stopped posting for a long time because I found the forum had become a discussion of the frenchman's hobbies and interests, and content that often had little to do with Japan and was thus of no interest to me.

LOL If I was Coligny, I would be engaging in an act of self gratification right now Hahahaa

I can't find a video but in the movie "People vs. Larry Flynt" Flynt locks himself into his vault/bedroom ... Bunker with the authorities outside trying to figure out how they are going to get in arrest him. The whole time Flynt is inside watching all the T.V. channels waiting for everyone to cover his defiance. When the last station finally covers it, Flynt exclaims “I’ve turned the whole world into a damn tabloid.” LOL

True, but plenty of us are guilty of thread jacking with personal BS, hence the FAO threads, which still are not put into proper use.

The newfound "popularity"... while in a way I always thought that if you haven't pissed off anyone then you haven't done anything worthy, some here are bona fide Arkham Asylum material. As for the threadjacks... guilty as charged. But threadjack can be also evolution of the topic...

It was a valid question. We haven't seen you for what ... a year? And all of a sudden you come in in a rage, attacking people (there's no other way to describe it), and publicly posting private conversations. We have had good exchanges in the past and I always thought you were a level-headed individual, so I assumed you must have been drunk or something. Under the circumstances, accusing me of making an ad hominem attack on you is quite ridiculous.

Sorry the forum isn't running in a way that pleases you.

Re: FAO Coligny

Cstaylor: What surprises me is that in the couple of months Coligny was away you did not take advantage and started posting again, except from the one posting expressing satisfaction with his absence. To me this means you do not enjoy this forum anymore, even without Coligny. So, what's the point of coming back exclusively for attacks if you do not read and post here?

Regarding the posting of private content: not done. Tell me again, why are you a moderator here in the first place?

Coligny: You probably noticed that not everyone is a fan of yours. While it is impossible to satisfy all, how about addressing some of the issues? This post sums it up very well:

dimwit wrote:I get alot of where cstaylor is coming from. I stopped posting for a long time because I found the forum had become a discussion of the frenchman's hobbies and interests, and content that often had little to do with Japan and was thus of no interest to me.

In other words, keep this esoteric stuff about big machines, kitties, etc. confined to your own FAO thread. And while we are at it, how about reducing your postings by half, and not striving for just quantity? This is not Twitter nor a personal blog, it is a discussion board.

Oh, and keep frying pancakes for Wagyl...

Ahh Russell, you might deny it but you really do want to be the peacemaker. To be more accurate, you want yanpa's sandbox to be smooth and freeflowing, without coming across any mysterious, distasteful lumps in it, which is a very worthy cause. It doesn't have to be all unicorn dust, but just a little less shitting in the sandbox makes it a better place to play.

To refine your comments above, I think it is fair to say that some people are not fan's of Coligny's behaviour, rather than not being fans of the person himself. You could also say that there are few fans of cstaylor's recent behaviour either. In both cases, the perpetrators of that behaviour reap what they sow, but also in both cases, there is a chance to remedy that by different behaviour going forward.

Speaking of which, it is the afternoon already, and I am still waiting for those fucking pancakes!
