How is that going to work in practice?!?

I think what you are looking at is a Roomba.
And if it's anything like my sister-in-laws one, how is it going to work? It will be committing suicide down the stairwell. Can't really blame it, the only escape from a lifetime of drudgery.

No, no, no, no. That is the 自動電気掃除機.

I mean the automatic iron. My point is that ironing is more than moving a hot piece of metal to and fro...

Ahh, sorry, I didn't realise that I had to scroll to see the full picture.
Yes, I can see that if we are limited to handkerchiefs the automatic iron has a place, but anything more than that needs draping of the fabric as much as movement of the iron, as you say.

A lost in translation thing.

My Jacket (bought in Japan) has a tag which says:
"
We sell functions
cool but real
100% le coq sportif
Golf collection
"

Can anyone understand what they really tried to say? Maybe its easy for someone who knows Japanese language.

Sorry no picture.

I've run across some locals seem to think ペット is a word that is exclusive to dogs  One of the products I import is for dogs only and at least 3 of the dealers insisting on me writing ペット用 instead of 犬用 in the description...

Being Japan, you're more likely to see that particular text on a toddler's t-shirt. Or an oba-chan's tote bag.

Well, this is a Japanese Sign and its certainly "random"...
Astro Boy pedestrian crossing signals have been installed in Kanagawa Prefecture's "Robot Town Sagami" (aka "Sagami Robot Industry Zone").

Well, if Huffington Post can make an article out of stuff lifted from twitter, I can make a post.

It is subtle, but deep.

Been there, done that... never crashed a combini though...

the nice things with minivan fitted with optionnal curtains is that you can easily drive around with a portashitter instead of the 3rd row seats... even put Mitsubishi stickers on mine to look like an OEM option...
