I'll assume you agree that this is a non-sexual exposure of flesh. I'm not sure that is a particularly safe assumption that you will agree that, but let's go with it anyway. Is this exposure of flesh with a smelly residue still indecent? Or just a nuisance. Because there is a big difference in how those two are regarded.

The guys were charged with trespass, for going onto the grounds of the warehouse centre near the park. (as stated in Tokyo Reporter)

The original Japanese is vague on whether the act was taking place inside or outside, but I would assume that they were outside the building, not inside. The woman was apparently trying to find a private corner to do her business when the guys appeared with their smartphones.

The video found on the page linked above concludes with the usual Police display for the benefit of the media, of a whole lot of smartphones, and what appear to be a fetching selection of wigs.

So, in effect, it is the use by the police of salacious details about the circumstances but not actually related to the crime alleged, to shame the guys and get their names in the papers. Standard Operating Procedure Worldwide, and one I am not comfortable with.

That was what I got out of that badly translated article, and Wagyl's source seems to confirm she was not actually in the toilets but crouching in an obscured part of the warehouse facility where she was surrounded. While she was having a pee. This was a party or festival event where the women's toilets can have massive lines, and years ago I and all the other decent guys found an easy remedy for when a woman is forced by circumstances and nature to pee in a not so very private spot.
They deserve to be beaten more than charged, but a public shaming should work. Not a great trend or practice as Wagyl noted, but if you look like that fat fuck in the perp pic you have to work harder than others. You can't look like that and be a pervert too. Crime...as in technically legal terms and I don't think it has to be sexual in nature. (which this is not...at least not from the urinators POV...the cameramen might beg to differ) Remember, this is a country were you can't go full barbarian and go jogging with your shirt off...and last I heard, urination was included in that whole public indecency section of Japanese law, no? Apparently the urination was on private property...and it makes me giggle that the pervs were publicly shamed....but does that mean the property owner pressed charges only against the cameramen and not the lemurs who literally pissed on their factory? I think the most that the average man on the street will get is a giggle from the cops and a warning. Your mileage, especially as you carry Trouble around in your jocks, may vary.
