It's a charming little resort town.

Yokkaichi asthma, one of the Four Big Pollution Diseases of Japan, occurred in the city of Yokkaichi in Mie Prefecture, Japan, between 1960 and 1972. Ok, I removed the massive GIF that may have been causing you the problem. The other photos are automatically downsized by the forum software (I thought the image sizes met the 640px dimension maximum),
On my iOS (iPad), the pix look ok (the original photos were stylistically over-saturated) as well as on my desktop/PC versions of OS10.11.3 and Windoz 10 using Chrome. (I just checked on my brand-new-out-of-the-box, 13' retina-screen macbook pro in Safari and the photos are ok but the "pink" levels are boosted because Japanese people are shy about having a "yellow" complexion.)

Yea the gif was a mess but we got 20 years to get used to the issue of this format. My eyes were mostly bleeding at the contrast/saruration shitfest.

No issue with the bag of bones style since the face is below my "allow eyes contact" threshold.
