Couple who apparently never drove a car in Japan.

If anything it attract attention to the signs... Who are apparently most if not all the kind of sign you approach at low speed anyway... Because if you are doing 60 before facing a "no entry road" sign you are pretty much fucked.

Without all the fucking trash, here's what Tokyo would look

Without Ads Or Billboards, Here's What The Streets Of Tokyo Would Look Like
The Huffington Post 02/13/2015
...
French graphic deisgner Nicolas Damiens reveals just how critical ads are to the character of a metropolis by showing how surreal the space would look without them. In his series aptly titled "Tokyo Without Ads," Damiens strips the buzzing Tokyo streets of any and all ads. The result is nearly unrecognizable, as ominous white canvases take up monumental space on every tier of the urban landscape.

Not impressed with his Photoshop skills, all he did was erase the content, so it doesn't show the metropolis without them, it just shows them as blank.

Imagining and showing a street without the signs would require some real work. Bit like you do when you make the flat layer 3D effect using old graphics, you see it on the History channel from time to time, gives depth to flat images when you animate them, but you have to create the parts of the image hidden by whatever is in the foreground, which is quite a chore.

That took me whole 2 seconds to find on Google.

古来から堅実さを表すといわれている菱形を原型に、新宿の「新」の一字を一筆で勢いよく描いたもので、新宿が将来に向かってますます堅実に発展していく意を表現するものです。

So it's shin (新) drawn in one stroke. Riiiiight.
