Cheap, Cheap.

This reminds me of the Fung Wa bus from Boston to NYC. One way was only ten dollars. The only problem was the busses were known to flip over, catch fire or both.

You might want to think twice before flying a Chinese airline. And I don't mean because of the shitty service and awful food.

Not again! Chinese passenger opens plane door during take-off ‘after mistaking handle for handrail’

A Chinese man who opened the emergency exit of an aircraft as it was about to take off on a domestic flight in China - the latest in a string of such gaffes - claimed he had mistaken the door handle for a handrail to steady himself.

[...]

It is the latest in a string of incidents involving mainland Chinese passengers opening emergency exits as aircraft prepare to take off.

Last month an unidentified man was also detained for 10 days after opening an aircraft's emergency exit as passengers were still boarding at Nanjing Lukou International Airport.

He was quoted as saying, “This door is not important”, when asked by airline staff why he had opened the door.

In December, a first-time traveller opened the emergency exit of a Xiamen Air passenger jet to "get some fresh air" just before it was due to take off.

I always wonder whether those doors open as readily at 30,000 feet. Never was in the mood to try, though...

No, due to pressure difference between inside and outside.

Definitely one of the more annoying things to deal with in China....go to a counter and people don't line up behind you but casually walk up next to you and try to be served first.

She's not entirely wrong.

I had somewhat the same sentiments when observing a bunch of Chinese in Rinku town, hauling their oversized suitcases around and on a cple of flights.
It was amusing to see in a Rinku town toilet, signs in chinese/ english on what to do and NOT do.

I was recently staying at a rather well known onsen resort, which also allows day use of the baths. A Chinese coach tour came through. Many other customers found that the fresh bath towels that they had placed in their baskets were no longer fresh, no longer dry, and no longer folded as they had been, when they got out of the bath later. Some items (e.g. spectacles) also went missing. And this is the class which can afford to go on an overseas tour... I suppose they got to that class by petty thievery and trampling over others on their climb up the ladder of society...

A Chinese friend once told me that even flowers in public parks are customarily stolen in China.

So, yep, no surprise there.

But spectacles?

Wouldn't surprise me if they also targeted shoes...

Chinese millionaire owners of the company my mother works at still steal massive amounts of napkins, silverware, and condiments from restaurants. To be fair, they made their way up the ladder with hard work and extreme ketchi-ness. Their adult children are train wrecks.

Sounds like a frames job.................

In contrast we seem to be getting the good ones here in Vancouver. When they try to barge the line up there's a chorus of jeering in all 3 dialects, and even some Chinese on Chinese English. Let's me avoid a racist red card, too. Win Win.

BTW, to level that playing field, has anbody ever had to line up for a bus at a busy temple or shrine stop on a holiday? In Kyoto the Yamanote Ladies down on pilgrimage are infamous for diving in like kamikaze aiming for a battleship. They wait until the bus pulls up to the gated stop then do an end run from the back of the bus between the bus and the gated curb and slide in through the back entry. Clever, but still cuntish.

Lately I only seem to have problems with the walking dead jiji/baba's when I'm driving....crossing the road at insane places....at 0.0000000001 km/h or slow motion riding their mamachari's into oncoming traffic.
