A Japanese engineer working on a bridge connecting İzmit and Yalova on the edge of the Marmara Sea has committed suicide after holding himself responsible for a rope that broke on the construction project.

Kishi Ryoichi, 51, was found by schoolchildren on March 23 at the entrance to the Altınova District cemetery in Yalova with cuts to his wrist and throat, according to District Gov. Nurullah Kaya. According to a note that was left at the scene, Ryoichi said he held himself responsible for the severing of the rope and had consequently decided to take his own life.

The rope on the section of the bridge called the Catwalk ruptured on March 21.

Ryoichi’s body has been sent to Yalova State Hospital for an autopsy amid a continuing investigation.

The three-kilometer bridge, which is being built for a cost of $1 billion, is projected to be the longest suspension bridge in the world.

Nope, he perfectly demonstrated Japanese state of the art construction skillset.
Then effectively, perfectly demonstrated Japanese cowardice, running away instead of fixing things THEN running away.

(Hey, not everything can be as easy as raping women in Nankin..)
(Maybe one of those paper engineers who bought their diploma in some big name Tokyo university...)
(Turks is not a place thought... I'm amost certain)

C'mon Coligny, you're talking about a human being here who sadly killed himself.

The man was undoubtedly a responsible person.

One can only be silent over his death. RIP

semantically weirdish... it seems not to be Turks per se but "Turks Islands" in a possessive way.
Like if we had some rock called "French Island" but shortened as "French"
or French food shortened as French

To add to the fun... them turks islands seems nowhere near Yalova or the bridge or the dead guy... unless google started to also fuck around with google maps...
