KYOTO (TR) – Kyoto Prefectural Police on Tuesday arrested a former Nippon Professional Baseball player for attempting to steal the underwear of a female neighbor in Yamashina Ward, reports Nikkan Sports (March 10).

At 8:10 a.m. on January 29, Yukihito Nakanishi, a 37-year-old former pitcher for the Nippon Ham Fighters, allegedly used a fishing pole in a bid to snag the undergarments of the woman, 56, who had left them hanging out to dry on her second-floor balcony.

Nakanishi, who has been charged with attempted robbery, has reportedly denied the allegations. “Using the rod was accidental,” the ex-pitcher is quoted by officers from the Yamashina Police Station.

The Kyoto native attended Higashiyama High School. The Fighters took right-hander with their seventh pick in the 1995 draft. He remained with the Fighters until 2000 but did not enter a game for the team’s top club.

As much as I can see this being a drunk, party dare...TIJ so he was probably by his lonesome and too lazy to do the normal snatch and run.

It would be hilarious if it really was an accident. Imagine you're fucking around in your backyard with your new fishing rod and ... oops ... you snagged the old bag next door's grandma panties.
