If you like the outdoors, you are definitely in luck because you'll have mountains around you in every direction.
Downside is the crowds that throng there, go in Winter and there will be a lot less people.
If you don't know snow country, plan ahead and take it easy. If I'm preaching to the converted, go for it and have a great time.
