The funny thing is that even raw organs and jizz were more palatable to them than natto.
Hehehehe. Fortunately for you, you like that sort of adventure, non!???? That scenario is probably my worst Japan nightmare: loveable food goofs come all the way to Japan, and being navel gazing culchurphiles they very wrongly assume that my extensive experience and knoweldge can all be equated to whatever the current flavour of the week weirdo Japanese dish is buzzing on the Food Channel which I haven't tried and don't want to.
The assumption that a quarter century of knoweldge, training, effort and experience can be summed up by My Favourite Japanese Food actually angers me; it's such typical Stuff White People Like lemming consumerism, and their blind spots aside most of the food fags I know are too intelligent to be that stupid. Besides, I don't even really like Japanese food all that much. Even the edible non-gross cooked stuff is still just healthy and filling but grossly overly celebrated monotony.
Would you like rice or noodles with your rice or noodles, or would you prefer rice or noodles? There's also some soy sauce if you are feeling particularly adventurous...........
I'll take Chinese or proper Mexican any old day. Or Vietnamese, ftm.
Choko,
The ANA Vancouver-Haneda route is still selling $500 or so less per busyness class flight than any Vancouver Narita flight, but I have a sneaky feeling they are trying to build a bit of a name for the route and then will jack the prices when they get the new 787 on it. But for now, the 20 year old Barca Lounger seats with ashtrays for $1900 USD is more than good enough, and the people that paid the bills last summer were very, very happy when I billed them for less than what they usually pay for economy on JAL. This is all through Kayak.com, BTW.
