They started from a movie with stunning atmosphere and soso story based on "la jetee"

Kept the story. And made a tv show with what look like half the budget of "Birdemic"

Some of the props for the time masheen are opened atx PC computer case bolted in ring with strobe lights behind. Thats limit below highschool video club quality. There youtube shorts out there with better production values.

ALSO, but it's a nitpicking. When they go out in the supposedly virus infected earth, they don't even have a surgical mask. There is no bunker deep down, just some pseudo abandonned wharehouse. It all feels like a bad Dr Who video fanfict...

You can't put 7.8 for the production value, or for the narative, or for anything. And if you factor in the source material... It's disastrous... Makes "the last ship" feels like a masterpiece... A serie lead by Rhona Mitra... Who have less acting skills than an amateur porn star... Or Megan Fox if you prefer...

Plus if all the survivors are genetically imune, that sort of ruin most of the challenges from the original premise where mankind was reduced to dwell underground. And make you wonder why they so much want to change the past. The whole thing become an anti natural selection rant...
