I always thought of anti-aircraft guns as fairly big howitzers but apprently a lot of them are more like batteries of whatever Rambo used from the truck at the end of the last installment (~12 mm machine gun?). Judging by the impromptu amputations and impact vaporising going on in that scene, I'd still say it would be pretty cool as long as the target is guilty as that pigfucker was. But I'll stick with movie versions. Or watermelon headed scarecrows. Now that you mention it, though, what would godless commies do? I would say they stick with precedence and cremate, so yeah, no big whoop. Probably helps with the logistics, especially if they are low on firewood.

It seems like 50% of these "wild and crazy execution" stories from the DPRK are B.S. (iow, they execute, but not always in the fanciful Hollywood style; personally, I doubt the impoverished North would waste valuable resources when a simple single bullet from a pistol to the head would suffice).

But just in case it is true, here's what they used.

(Note that single barrel and double barrel variants exist; maximum firing rate: 600 rounds per minute. Average rate: 150 rounds per minute. Range: 8000 meters (5,000 meter high altitude)
