Is that so. wow you really opened my eyes GomiGirl. How did I manage to survive all a long?

Just because anybody lives in a place longer bares no relevance on how much they have gained. Going from your gaijin office to your gaijin aparto everyday is not really exposing yourself to a different culture. Maybe all the laser printer cartredge fumes have got to you head.

All life is based on the observers perception. As this perception cant be quantified. How the hell do you know how much I know about life?

Was it really nessesary to bitch at me? I want not even trying to be hostile and I get this shit from you... It just shows you have a couple of things to learn your self. P.S. stay away for the laser printers they are known in induce retardation in mice.

Laser printer toners contain ammounts of Polymers , orgainic compounds, alcolols ... and some dry material like iron oxide. A lot of plastics and their solvents are carcinogens. Laser printers often produce a significent ammount of dust. this dust contains the various plastics. if you tale out your cartridge there will be a warning sign. If you work in a big company you will even notice sometimes when the person that has the job of changing them wears a mask in gloves. They dont wear the mask for no reason. Saying all that unless you have like 3 at your desk its not going to affect you.

You were trying to patronise GJ. But I have no need to defend him as he is quite able to do that on his own.

OK so "my naive young friend" was a bit OTT and I am sorry but really I was just putting across my point of view with the religious life of buddhists.. I think they are great but GJ is right in that they are fantastic at navel gazing, but giving something tangible back to the community is not what they do.

Toner prank!

Postby Caustic Saint » Wed Dec 10, 2003 3:14 pm

If anybody in your office ever gets toner on their hands while changing a cartridge, tell 'em they have to use really hot water to get it off. If you're lucky (and they're unlucky), the water will be hot enough to get some of it to fuse a little. (Hot water taps are quite as good for fusing it as the fuser element in a copier/printer, but good luck getting them to touch a really hot piece of metal.)

This is a ploy often used to get more money. Spend a little get more back classic marketing.

I went to the Christian church in Chiba with Captain Japan to interview the minister, who is a former Yakuza member.

Another marketing technique. 'Look everybody can change' , ' we accept everybody' , 'we can make a difference in the community' ... propanganda.

Buddhism rarley does this form of propanganda(saying that they do put forth the message that they accept everybody). And it does profess not to be a religion. Hence a 'way of life' I am not knocking it myself as I have many personal ideals that are close to Buddhism. But I fail to adopt it because as soon at it turns into an organised religion. Then 'control' sets in. Money greed power...

This came a bit out of the blue. But I cant answer honestly. Sure there are things I would like to think I would do but everything is change. So ii dont expect what I want to come exactly true.

The likely thing to happen: I will be killed in a car crash. I have had 2 serious car crashes. I used to race karts and would like to start forumla opel(vauxhall in the uk) or something similar(but the money...) I have a passion for driving unfortunatly I sometimes take it to the road and accidents happen. As soon as I sat inside a Nissan Fairlady I could feel this was the car I was going to die in.

What I would like to happen: A boat that I am currently working on for a competition, wins the competition, and goes on to make me enough money to fund other things and I can travel more.

The direction I am taking at the moment: I go back to University in the near future. Get my PhD in Keio or Waseda University. Become a project manager or similar. Occionaly write a few computer papers that get published. Stay in asia probably china for a while. Pretend to be a normal person. Enter the boat competition and not get recognised for me genius. Damb. Eventualy go back to university again and take a different course like design like I really wanted in the first place.

Although I plan on getting married(I know what you are going to say god help the woman(just had to say it before gomigirl did)) Not to the girl I am dating now but I do have a crush on somebody I just met and she is one of the few that I have ever got a crush on(so I hope things will progress). But I dont plan on having children untill my late 30's although I really like children I have to be sure I can give them the support they need.

A bit long winded but some things may happen some things wont. All I really want is to experience every day in it fullest. You know wabisabi.

Sorry, but couldn't you say the same of the spectacular beauty of some of the architectural wonders the christian (mainly catholic) church has gifted to the world?

'NeoNecroNomiCron', that all sounds pretty good, you do have goals and plans. You shouldn't cite 'slacking' in your profile so much as it sounds like you aren't really slacking, and 'slacking' gives a negative image. So you shouldn't sell yourself short like that.

The boat building sounds interesting. I personally am not so much into boats (memories of rough seas, vomiting, fish guts and salt spray on dad's boat as a child), but I think it would be amazing to one day own one of those small private submarines that are now being made. That would be a fun toy to play with.

Thanks for the compliment but I am trying to maintain my online persona as a idiot/ troller/ junaville he he.

The comp I have entered is http://www.conceptboat.com/ its based in the UK I entered last year while i was studying there but I had to come to Japan so I withdrew. I am trying to fifnish my designs this year but i have modified them and they are of far more comercial value. As I dont have the money to buy the copyrights I am reluctant to conferm entry this year also.

I also like subs thanks to seaquest DSV and it is also one of my dreams to go in a minisub.

Unfortunatly I have many interests apart from computing just dont have the time to do them all. IF anybody has done any work in prototype clay(for transportational design) modeling please let me know Just dont have the time to look that up either.

I am slacking becuase I could be doing work just now he he. Besides you are the fist person to actualy ask me a serious question so a little extra time was put into the reply.

Yeah.. the shame helping people for a benefit. Like I said, lucky for the rich Japanese monks, they don't need to revert to 'marketing'.. The Japanese people are culturally required to give money to Temples.
I went to the Christian church in Chiba with Captain Japan to interview the minister, who is a former Yakuza member.

NeoNecroNomiCron wrote:Another marketing technique. 'Look everybody can change' , ' we accept everybody' , 'we can make a difference in the community' ... propanganda.
:?:
' we accept everybody' , 'we can make a difference in the community': ? What a terrible, terrible thing to do.. Actually accepting people who would otherwise be outcasts in this rigid, mask-fanatic society.. Evil propaganda! I know it's probably hard for you to grasp, but there are people in the world who reach the end of their ropes, and they generally don't mind a little 'propaganda' in exchange for food and compassion? I'm sure you've never experienced bottom.. yet. But people do. That's a fact. Do the Temples help these people?

A lot of the people in the small congregation I went to in Chiba were former drug addicts, out of work construction workers, and abused women.. Count how many down-trodden people you see at the next Temple you're posing next to.. A begging monk? I'm sure he needs the money.

I don't want to get into a religious battle, because, as I said before, I'm not crazy about Christianity. DN bitched about Christians like he bitches about everything; I pointed out the probable reason the Buddhists don't have to 'annoy' him by approaching him for money and/or religious conversion, and asked what the Temples do for the community.. Besides looking pretty, taking donations, and keeping the wa.. I haven't heard any answers.. And those questions are genuine; I don't know what Buddhists give back to the community.

What's with all the "tiny text mumbling" lately? I think it was Taro that started this with his signature lines, but now people have to rip off his idea and use it to try and be cute?

Sheesh. If you're going to take a shot at somebody, or explain away taking a shot at somebody, have the decency to do it in a legible font size.

This may be the first board you have used on the net, but it is not mine. I have been using tiny text along with millions of others on different boards for about 6 years. Believe me, nobody here invented using tiny text to be cute.

I used to admin and host this board
http://www.eatpoo.com/

which used the same software as fuckedgaijin
http://www.phpbb.com/
(the software that added the feature to make small print...taro didnt invent it I promise)

The point of taking a shot at someone and using small text is to make a joke out of taking shot at somebody. As you said youself "trying to be cute"...it wasnt taking a real shot but "just jerking his chain"

ROBATO Even to other members it is obvious that you are just trolling. I am sure its pretty obvious also that all you posts are just crap flooding / trolling / shit talking(maybe I should say diatripe spreading as usualy I dont have to resort to profanity).

But you do talk some serious shit. BTW this is not exploding. I can do much worse. You may also notice I have given up a few times when I 'was exploding'[SIC (as actualy I never lose control at all)] It is because the moderators asked me to chill the thread not because you actualy one the arguement.

The only thing that actualy annoys me about you is you name as it reminds me of a fuckwit amerikan that I have to put up with where I work. You remind me of him as you resort to speaking shit and abuse for not even an insignificant reason.
