Jeremy Clarkson to be sacked by the BBC
Jeremy Clarkson is to be sacked as Top Gear presenter after a BBC
investigation found he did assault a producer in a row over steak and chips

Jeremy Clarkson is to be sacked as Top Gear presenter after a BBC investigation concluded he did attack a producer on the programme.

Lord Hall, the Director General of the BBC, is expected to announce his decision on Wednesday after considering the findings of an internal investigation.

Clarkson, 54, will be thanked for his work on the hugely popular motoring show, but will be told such behaviour cannot be tolerated at the Corporation.

It is understood a report into the so-called ‘fracas’ at a North Yorkshire hotel, concluded that presenter spent 20 minutes verbally abusing producer Oisin Tymon, before launching a 30 second physical assault on him.

The outburst came after Clarkson, who is one of the BBC’s best paid stars, was informed he could not have steak and chips after a day’s filming because the hotel where they were staying had stop serving hot food.

But despite finally deciding to axe the show's star presenter, the BBC is planning to continue broadcasting Top Gear on BBC2.

According to well-placed sources, senior executives at the Corporation have been wooing Radio 2 Breakfast Show host and self- confessed ‘petrol-head’, Chris Evans in the hope he will agree to take over...

The petition to get amateur pugilist Jeremy Clarkson reinstated at the BBC has gathered very nearly one million signatures, which, you might think, shows that a lot of people are very worried about the poor old multimillionaire.

We suspect, however, that what they are truly worried about is just who will present Top Gear if Clarkson is finally banished from Broadcasting House. If no replacement is found, then we may find ourselves in the position of having a mainstream television programme presented by empty space (or James May and Richard Hammond as some people call it).

But help might be at hand in the roll neck and sports jacket comboed form of Alan Partridge. Several petitions (which, at the time of publishing, have close to 2,500 and 280 signatures) have been formed with an eye to getting North Norfolk’s foremost disc jockey to helm the motoring show.

It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

If you have an issue with a coworker you take it up with either your line manager who talks to their line manager, or you talk to their line manager directly, depending on your own position.

If you get physically violent with any fellow employee you get fired, full stop, the end. This is a basic rule of any company.

Clarkson is a bully, he should have been roped in earlier, but eventually he was given enough rope.

I really enjoy how in fine it's the guy that fucked at his job that is the poor bullied victim...
The beeb had apparently 18 rooms reserved in the hotel and at the end of the day the food was ham and crackers... How about firing the little shitstain too ? Isn't this kind of mismanagement of catering duties a form of abuse or violence too ?

Based on experience, the hotel restaurant closing early would be looked at as a shitty excuse and one is expected to find at least a couple alternatives "da man" can choose from rather than offer ham and crackers. While it may not be an assault-worthy crime, I'll be the first one to admit I get damn cranky when hungry and can understand the urge to want to pound the clueless fuck when offered ham and crackers at the end of a working day.

In a grown ups world it wouldn't be a firing offense, just a minor reprimand, if that. But we are talking about people who suck on the public nipple, like playing with brum brum cars and throw tantrums.

warf... somebody think of the children... of course... and how dare I feed my cats nuggets and tuna when some orphan that I never heard of is dying in a village somewhere from a country i can't see on a map.

Call us when starving children generate the same income for the BBC in turn paying employees allowing them to feed their families...

Levelling from the bottom... the dictatorship of mediocrity.

The worst that Clarkson can be blamed for is to be a giant cock on TV while making a shittons of money out of the swearings.
Compare him to the CEO of Exxon. BP or Monsanto and this foul mouthed sucker deserve sainthood. compare him to jimmy Saville and he deserve it twice.

This shit is as ridiculous as the Brian Williams whichunt...

But that's not why his contract will not be renewed. Notice he wasn't sacked. He is still drawing his entirely moderate £20,000 a week salary form the BBC until the end of the month. This, in spite of inflicting 20 minutes of verbal abuse on an underling and then physically attacking him such that he required a trip to Accident and Emergency for treatment. And the provocation/mitigation for all this is that he was not able to get the meal he wanted and instead had to settle for a cold meat and cheese meal. Ham and crackers we can be very sure it wasn't.

The only ridiculous things about it are:

1. He isn't yet facing a criminal charge of assault causing actual bodily harm. Why not?

2. He is being paid to the end of the month. Why?

And he hasn't shown any sign of remorse - Instead it's all the fault of BBC bosses. And somehow quite a few people are prepared to believe this.

Because the police just started investigations and they don't always shoot first ask later in Englistan. Ordeal not over yet.

Wage Slave wrote:2. He is being paid to the end of the month. Why?

Don't know much if anything on british labour laws or the terms of his contract.
Seems that he is a contractor if that means anything. Usually you fire them by not renewing contracts. Unless there is special clauses just stopping to pay might not be a good idea.

It's not Japan were you can murder puppies and go free if you say tear eyed that you are a naughty boy and really so so sorry...

But i'd be curious to see a tally of the hospital bills from the presenters against the swollen lips fairytale of the little weasel. This was not a desk job... Hammond spend month in hospital and the number of broken ribs limbs and bruised neck and backs was bit worse than for your average TV presenter.

So, to recap for the blame the victim crowd: the hotel restaraunt closed at 10 pm as scheduled, not early, the work party had a dinner reservation there for 8 pm which they did not make because The Baroness himself was busy drinking sherry at a pub near that day's location and kept the chartered helicopter waiting until it was too late for them to make their dinner reservation at the hotel wherein the cook or chef went home as scheduled and upon arriving late because of his own drunken childishness Clarkson had a hissy fit. He also ordered Fondant Potatoes. Coupled with a tendency to be a man that drinks sherry I think the fact that he feels the need to describe thusly the potatoes he orders confirms decisively any lingering doubts of obvious, rampant latency. Now, in his defence, it would be murderously difficult to work with such an obvious hobbit passing as a human with such a ridiculous name, but that is sometimes what being a grown up entails.

The show itself is so utterly irrelevant to my existence I don't care either way but as both Legion and Wage Slave pointed out, Clarkson is a bully, and a rather prissy one at that; if he had shown even a touch of manly remorse for his childish actions and a hint of that famous biting sense of humour in a self-effacing way I would have thought well enough of him to not hope he gets cancer and dies so we can finally be rid of his fat florid mug. But he didn't, because he is not a man, he's a prissy princess in acid wash that can only use humour to berate and belittle others. I always imagined he was lower class done well through hard work and his strange ability to appeal to a certain Angry White & Stoopid demographic, for which I always admired him. But it turns out he was raised rather well, in which case he should know without ever having to doubt it that one does not blame or abuse the help. And so, Off with his head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But just to show that he can behave when surrounded by his betters, here is one of his QI appearances.

I find his boyish timidity rather sweet.

The New Host of “Top Gear”

Meet Chris Evans. No, not Captain America. This Chris Evans is a BBC radio host — England’s Howard Stern, with slightly less raunch — and a long-time car nut with a special passion for Ferraris. And as of today, he’s also the new top host of “Top Gear,” replacing Jeremy Clarkson.

Top Gear: Chris Evans says Cenotaph stunt should not be broadcast

The Guardian wrote:Chris Evans has apologised “unreservedly” after scenes for the new Top Gear series were filmed near the Cenotaph war memorial, adding that the footage was “disrespectful” and should not be broadcast.

Host Matt LeBlanc was seen driving around Westminster in central London as shooting took place for the new series of the BBC2 show, which is due to air in May, and photos show large tyre circles left on streets surrounding the war memorial after the stunt...

Looks like the new Top Gear picks up, where the old one left off :D

A motahhh kahhh?! Near the memorial you say? Simply balderdash! Be a good chap and manufacture some drama over this egregious act!

So is that Ken Block or JR's mustang that is being "disrespectful" by simply being near a war memorial?

In the cemetery and no doubt about being disrespectful, near a war memorial monument, not quite the same level.

Did you see the video?

As a car nut, you should.

The Cenotaph is 50 metres from Downing Street, and about 150 metres from Big Ben, so there are other things you could say it was near. This was "right in front of."

It is also a stupid use of viewer's license fees to close off Whitehall for a stunt like that. I find it hard to call it entertainment. It tells us nothing about the vehicle itself, but it does tell us how small the Producer's cock is.
