From what I have seen it's a Pushmepullyou problem: crazies, dorks and nerds seem drawn to the SDF, and no doubt some borderline types will then manifest whatever it is they suffer from. At any rate, I hope this case will serve as a brightly lit torch to show the need for increased mental health support and care. This could easily become a burning issue given its potential explosiveness.

It appears that this SDF member – was exactly the sort of guy that the SDF needs to weed out. All machine-like military attitude, and no-human like character. He got pissed because his wife didn`t see him off at the door, and set his house on fire, killing four children.

And this reminds me… Why is it that that firemen, security guards, and who knows what other clusterfucks of men – are treated like military recruits? I have seen them line up in formation, march around swinging their arms in an exaggerated arc, stomp, do `about-face` and `at-rest` movements, bark out responses, and salute, but why? For the military it is to depersonalize and remove personal thought and action in favor of rote movement and unquestioning obedience. But why for anyone outside of the military is beyond comprehension.

Good pull, Dimmy. What a monster. I did a summer in the RCAF reserves in 1979. Other than me and the others that just wanted the $1600 ($5300 in 2015 CAD) it was a collection of psycho weirdos, freaks and loosers. Many of whom signed on for further service
Still, got to shoot big guns, throw grenades, and I blew up a target tank with a howitzer. For a stoned 16 year old that was cool. The Where Eagles Dare submachinegun was pretty cool, too.
