The Japan Times | Sept. 2, 2015
Incidents related to official emblems for public institutions and events in Japan, like Tuesday’s retraction of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics logo, are nothing new.
In the case of Expo ’70 held in Osaka, the selection committee chose a design from 48 applications in 1966, but the decision was retracted after objections were raised by the organizer’s board of directors, which said the design was too abstract...more...

More like "Japan no stranger to knockoffs and FG language fuck ups."

I caught a portion of a J-TV show recently where the cast went to Guam and were making fun of T-shirts with fucked Japanese on them.

"There are Japanese here in Guam, why not ask a Japanese to fix it for them or consult a Japanese before making the shirts?!" was uttered several times along with "yappari nihongo muzukashii"

Kind of wish they would, then the Tshirt designer could suck their teeth and say "no, my friend who lived in Nagoya for 3 months says you say it like this"

I saw another show awhile back that actually interviewed lots of FG's walking around Tokyo with fucked Japanese on their shirts.
It turns out that they from maybe the UK, with intentionally wrong Japanese (and the wearers knew this).

So, let's see what some local dumbarses have worn on J TV shall we.
