One book store

Postby Taro Toporific » Mon Sep 07, 2015 8:39 am

No need to browse at this new bookshop in Tokyo. They carry only one title per week.

Through talks, exhibitions and events to meet the author, visitors are offered an intimate opportunity to explore a book and enhance their joy of reading it. Although bold, Morioka Shoten offers an experience that would be impossible to replicate for online booksellers or even large bookshops.

Exactly like sticking my dick in a vice, It's not because I can't do it in large bookshops that it's good or should be enabled somewhere else...

Reminds of the bodegas that only had like a can of coke and maybe two rolls of toilet paper on their shelves in NYC back in the day. But they were actually selling drugs so it made sense.

Reminds me of a running joke in some European armies (I know for sure it's used in the Dutch and German armies).

To express that someone higher up is dumb, soldiers tend to use the expression "he already has a book". The reason behind this being when someone asks "What shall we give the sergeant for his birthday?", the suggestion to give him a book will be met with the above reply.

So, having just one book in your store does not strike me as a particular sign of intelligence.

And then I don't even start about the religious co-notations, about nutters who only need one book to guide their life...

Ah yes, the perfect word of God, as transmitted through an inevitably imperfect medium of mankind - language.
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
