Maybe they were trying to insert some fun into the event...

How do you geometrically setup a human pyramid with a square or even triangular base ?

Cheerleaders pyramids gave a single line footprint that make sense.

But what they do looks more like a manchurian prisonner pile before they burn the corpses.

Not saying they are morons... But heavily hinting toward this conclusion... (Despite hating legos)

I do wonder whether the kid who gave away first in the pyramid will be punished.

Human Pyramids. Ahh, the joys of living in a society with no civil laws, and thus no worries about insurance companies shutting events down.

Of course, 1000 lashes at least, they failed the emperor, and their mothers will have to work as whores in the imperial army brothels.

Isn't that a three story building right behind them?

They might count 1 student 1 storey for this specific structure.

10 storey high would be a 30 meters pile of flesh. And the death toll would be much more enjoyable.

But must admit this school did a perfect job at training morons to follow stupid orders.
It's a textbook case. Back in my days the "finger painting" activity was like a prequel for V for vendetta...
(And yes they did call my parents... And nope I didn't comply... )

Actually it is very much school by school and I'm not at all sure you can dismiss it as morons being trained to follow stupid orders. At one I know of the kids have refused to do pyramids for years - not so much to defy authority but more that they aren't united enough to want to do it. At another up the road from me, the kids are really into it. They have been talking about it and the technical details in excited tones for the last three weeks. Not at all my thing (and nor is the entire undoukai) but they really do seem to enjoy it and if they really don't want to they don't have to.

Sooo... Your hood kinda sucks... Do they need to count to potato to graduate or only up to firetruck ?
There's a highschool like that after the municipal hospital. Right inside the flooding zone. Apparently the locals were carefull to prepare sacrifice of the bottom of the barrel to the tsunami gods... Not much virgin to offer, but a waste of 1000y blow jobs whores...

Of course it's bad because the Japanese are doing it. Those kinds of dangerous stunts would never be allowed back home.

Quite the opposite as it happens - Can't throw a stone around here without hitting a doctor, engineer or captain of industry. Not the most exciting neighbourhood and more than a touch snobbish at times but the schools are very high performing.

Pretty standard in lots of other places, but that's another story

Hehehe. Confirmation Bias never sleeps. I thought of that one right away. As for hints of fascism, any American football or a rugby practice must freak out actual peace loving homophobes like the Japanese. I can get the French opposition though: they only have running away and Parkour, aka running away for city kids.

And there's retards stacking themselves to death:

Comparing cheerleading with future doctors-architects or admiral-generals fumbling like morons in a sandbox is a bit tedious. Out of all your usual tropes that you defend in reverse psychology with "if it's japanese it's bad/van down the river" this one might not be the best.

You're right. Cheerleading is far more dangerous and school systems in the US go out of their way to fuck the (mostly) girls by classifying it as performance instead of sport so they aren't subject to the kind of safety regulations and insurance requirements that they are to protect their athletes.

Be patient, the crew cut and footballs helmet are only from 1895. You still got schools stucks at "creationism" give them time to realize that females are humans too. After that we can enter the great american debate of "is cheerleading a sportz". But us booty shaking teams seems much more restrictive in their numbers than japanese teams (can use chopsticks->good to go) so its higher risk with lower bodycount versus equal opportunity slaughter.
