The portly Iraqi women who, because they had never played sports in their youth, couldn't really even walk properly. And yet they considered themselves so attractive they had to be swathed in black robes and were in danger if they were ever alone in a classroom or office with an Arab male. Neither I wouldn't have thought. Probably Just a descriptive neologism. I wonder if a posting to America at some point might explain his little fits of fluency? Something about that hypersensitive vanity reminds me of not a few doctors I've met and they often get shipped off to the US for a few years even though their language skills are woefully inadequate. Might explain a few things.
