So, a friend got his gmail account haxored.

The guy behind are not rocket surgeon managing from their first mail of the "i haz an accident can yoo send me monies in maroco through western union?" Kind to add minor impossibilities like the fact that the guy could not have had an accident in north africa since he live in aichi, was invited and came for diner the same day as i received the mail...

google despite wurnangs is doing jack shit to fix the situation.

But i let the story run with pretext for delays and stuff.
I'M running out of ideas to fuck around with these guys. Do sumeone know a place to find premade scripts ? If not i will get a new hobby... But an autoresponder like eliza/azile (the psychanalist software that always ended up talking aboot porking your mother) would have been cool...

Have him call google. Provided he wasn't using it as a junk email and he used his real name to register, they should fix it. If he wears tin foil on his head and is afraid of the chinese hacking his porn subscriptions....... no one can help him.

No, the password was recipe based.
Always used from his home macintosh only. But i don't think he was using the advanced security options.

One isssue I can see is last september leak.

Coligny, what exactly do you want Google to do? Are you saying you want them to take action on this isolated hacking incident or that there's a security flaw affecting a lot of if not all users they aren't doing anything about?

Has he even established that the sender's email address was not spoofed? Maybe it sounds like a silly thing to say, but all he has told us is that he got an email which appeared to be sent from his friend's account. He hasn't said anything about whether the friend has lost access to his account, or whether there is a record in the account of the offending email having been sent from it, or that the account has been tampered with in any other way. Maybe we are supposed to guess the facts. Maybe he just wants to vent. Maybe he likes creating drama. Maybe the cause of the problem is poor practices resulting in the friend having been phished in some way, in which case it is a user issue not a Google issue.

I have no idea if google have issue, just found aboot the 5 miliun credential leak with a gis (and on russia today of all places), the fake login window is just another worry. If you use saurik jailbreak, when you buy soft on cydia you can authenticate with FB or gmail, and it popup a gmail login screen... Which is the worst idea ever security wyse since you can spoof a gmail screen and gobble up credentials that way.

So, the friend got locked out of his account. He can't log in anymore as the haxor changed his password.
I received a message from his account asking for monies. Called him to tell him to notify google. And made a new message (not a reply to, but a new mail from my adress book) in which i quoted the money request text and started a storyline "i will send you the monies, but western union is complicamated, yadda yadda" the haxor answered that mail proving that he has access to the account.
Meanwhile google got notified, usually they lock the account until some proof of ownership from somewhere is provided. They say the investigation might take few days. But, I'm still able to communicate with the haxor (new mail from my adresse book everytime to be sure that there is no return address tweaking) ...
Since it's been going on since last week end, I'm running out of bullshit to keep the conversation going with the haxor (and unlike for nigerian scam, I don't have much hope to get nice picture of darkies with cucumbers on their heads) hence my request to know if someone have links to premade storylines/idea to keep the haxor talking(well writing).

This experience hilight few issues with gmail... 1 they said they locked the account, apparently not. And 2... An account that have only ever been used from Aichi, is suddenly accessed from north africa, the password changed and have several dozen mails send to as many recipients asking western union money transfer don't trigger any kind of "abnormal behaviour warning" which would be easier to automatize than a spam filter...
