And the managers of the project are too spineless to ask the top brass about revising them. I know for a fact that the top brass would be fine with facial hair in a customer service role, since I know of a prominent person in a sister project, but middle management are either scared to take initiative, or too scared to bother the top brass with the issue. Changing the rules is too low a priority to get around to carrying it out but being a stickler for the rules is easy to continue.

Beautifully put. Magical, actually.

Nearly every Chinese driver:
Me: So are you going to drive in auto or manual mode?
Driver: Yeah yeah, ok ok!
Me: Can you please release the parking brake?
Driver: Yeah yeah, ok ok! (just sits there)

They're Chinese - anyone who works with an average Chinese person would absolutely expect this. Chinese that have lived for a while in Japan are usually okay, but some of them still have the attitude (they're the ones that usually have to go back within a few years).
matsuki wrote:Yeah, the "psssssh, don't talk to me like you know more than I do" attitude I don't usually have to deal with them but I've heard plenty of insane child-like fit stories about them here and there.

Hey, take a drag on the peace pipe, dude!
That heathen gibberish lead to this
(desperately making this Japan related)

It makes sense to use heathen gibberish to defeat gibberish speaking heathens.
